DEAL'S GONE BAD
*********************************************
What do you get when you mix the chugging rhythms of Jamaica, the energy and emotion of American Motown, and the overthe-top pub/rock of the Pogues? Deal's Gone Bad - a culturally diverse eight piece from the streets of Chicago. Deal's Gone Bad has played their unique brand of 50's and 60's Jamaican music for the past ten years. Hailing from Chicago, IL, DGB blends reggae, rocksteady, and ska music with American soul in a fiery brew all their own. Having sold a combined 20,000 units of their first three records, Deal's Gone Bad has steadily built a following on the road, as evidenced by packed houses across the Midwest and Southeast. DGB's following in their hometown has always been strong, with the band playing to capacity audiences at such legendary Chicago venues as Fireside Bowl, Abbey Pub, Park West, and Metro. Deal's will appeal to fans of the Skatalites, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, and the Pogues(!), as well as dancing and revelry in general.

From 1997's "Large and in Charge" to 2002's "Guide to Boat Drinks and Cruise Cocktails," Deal's Gone Bad is sure to please, and is now proud to introduce vocalist Todd Hembrook (formerly of Heavy Step). With Mr. Hembrook at the helm, DGB's sound has advanced to a new, even more soulful level to move your feet and win your heart. 2005 has seen the crew return to the road for a series of coast to coast appearances as well as the release of a new retrospective album "The Longest Happy Hour" comprising fan and band favorites from their first three releases on Jump Up! Records. Be ready for the fourth DGB full length due to drop Spring 2005.

Deal's Gone Bad has also contributed a track to "A Sweet Serenade: 13 Tracks of Soulful Acoustic Reggae" out on Lawless Street Records.
