I met Mr. Gowan last night. He was a sweetheart!
I should have some good pics to post soon! I went
to London, Ontario to Centennial Hall. I missed half
the show, just trying to get there. It was difficult
to get tix. They go to the folks who go have first
pick at symphony tix. There were a lot of older folks
there who like long hair music. There were a lot of
young folks who were on a waiting list for tickets!<br>
The show was fantasic. Gowan is a concert pianist
gone pop. His music is soul moving, his lyrics thought
provoking.<br> This guy deserves wider recognition than he has.
I think he has held back for some reason. Corporate
music. Record execs. play dirty games. Law suits, etc.
If you have anything, they want it. Human nature I
guess. It probably disgusts him. That's what my gut says
anyway.<br> Anyway, the show was great. He was in top form, a
ham as usual. His fingers fly so fast they make you
dizzy. When I think of the time this guy put into
practicing, the passion he puts into his music, I feel
kinship. I am a musician too. I play bass in a band, but
singing is my passion. I like to write songs too. It
helps to grow up listening to people who make you
think.<br> This is the fourth time I have seen him live. He
loves what he is doing. He's not out to impress
anybody, he's a man born to be on-stage. A true
