Do any of you have a web link for an official page for Rose Wagner theatre in
SLC? I found a lot of links but none that look like the official home page.

Great sounds, Chris! (You guys who check him out, use ear phones or something.
My tinny little computer speakers don't do him justice.) Congratulations on
completing a cool project. Where did the title come from?

We are getting ready to visit my daughter for Thanksgiving and I haven't been
able to writeor do much with my music for a week. I will be gone until the week
after Thanksgiving, so I guess the music projects are on the shelf. But Happy

I have posted some new songs on my website. Well, only one of them is actually
new, but you've never heard them, so they are all new!:)
There are a couple of free downloads. One is called "Home" which is from the
Mormon Battalion play "Sang As They Walked" which will be performed this January
at three different stakes in San Diego. (I am singing all the parts.) The other
is an SSA version (Or the lowest part could be tenor) with flute of Silent
Night. Our RS is singing it this year. If you want sheet music for the Christmas
song, you can email me and I'll send you a pdf version. Anyways...These are just
examples of my song writing. I never want to be a pop star. I don't expect to
ever make any sort of money. I did re-vamp the instruments from last time (got a
new computer and recording programs) so the sound quality should be better, but
probably not to the pro level yet. I haven't got the money for that.

The song "There's a Light" is on there too. I posted the lyrics here a couple of
months ago, and got great suggestions for a title. (thank you by the way) So you
can hear what that sounds like too.

Enjoy!

HI! My name is Rachel Hanson from Harmony River. We just learned about LDS
musicians from Jason Jones who is mixing our new CD. We are the official
website for Glenn Rawson from the Sounds of Sunday (or Sounds of the
Sabbath).

Right now we are producing a CD of Glenn's and are looking for Independent
artists to put songs on the CD. This CD contains Glenn's stories of prayer
and is entitled "Never Cease." We already have one of our songs and are
looking for 3 more. If you have any music (with vocals) that are songs about
prayer or about "Him being there" (Such as "I Know That My Redeemer Lives"),
we would love to hear them.

We are under a tight deadline as we are trying to have this CD available for
Christmas. We are hoping all will go well the next two days and have it sent
to be reproduced by Tuesday, so if you can have song samples by Monday,
otherwise we have a plan b in place. But we'll be sure to let you know more
in advance for our next CD.

“Valentine Blues: the many faces of love” is here. You can hear the songs
at my
web site. Just click on the music link on the right hand side of the page.
Then click on Valentine Blues and the songs will show up. If you’d like to
read
the lyrics and brief comments you can click on the title and it will show those
as well. The clips are long, basically the whole song. The songs and CD will
not be available for purchase on CD Baby for about another week. The only thing
you’ll be missing is the really cool cover art. I hope to have that up in
about
a week also.

By the way, the lullablues I have had up for my grand children are still there.
I just clustered them under the title “Lullablues”. I will have the next
installment of those songs up in a week or so also. And the new chapter of the
book “Making More Than Music” is also posted now.

I hope you enjoy my music. Check it out. If you like it, tell someone else
about it. If you don’t, well, just keep it to yourself. ;-)

Hi Ed,
I'm in Danville, W of SF but still East Bay, and busy through the first of
the year, but I'd really enjoy being part of something. I can do keys and
voice. I can play from any fake book and improv arrangements.

Check my FB page to hear my voice - see what you think -

I can do backups & harmonies, don't have to sing lead, but I can.

I am OK on Bass.... on Easy in RockBand - LOL.

I'm a local stand up comedian and front man for another cover band in the San

I'm looking for a few guys (or girls) who can play - really play - and want to

On the website:

I really think it would be nice to just turn the website into a group blog and
take volunteer bloggers from the group to report on the happenings in each
other's music, etc., We could start a Facebook fan page (where people can easily
post photos without one person having to do all the work) and post the widget in
one of the sidebars.

All of my websites are built on the b2evolution platform with the same template,
I've just replaced the graphics. See http://choirworks.com and
http://composer.mryantaylor.com and http://thirteenforhalloween.com for
examples.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey everyone,

First, I just wanted to let you know that I have seen Ryan's Christmas opera,
when he was in it, and it was wonderful! I'm so glad you are putting it on
again and I hope I can go. Also, congratulations to Gary on your newest cd and
welcome to the new members who signed up this week.

As to the questions on my mind. As we all know the website for our group is
terribly outdated. I'm ashamed to say that in the time since it was handed over
to me I have yet to learn how to do anything with it as the server was going to
be changed at some point. It hasn't been but my daughter is learning how to
make webpages at school. So here's the thing, even though I have a lot to
learn, I first want to figure out how to update pictures which means I need
pictures sent to me of our past LDS fests and any performances you have done you
wouldn't mind having rotate on the site. Second, a month or so ago Mark brought
up the idea of having a ten year reunion at the American Fork Amphitheatre...a
low key fest for ourselves. I was honestly not in the mood to sign myself back
up for such an undertaking and don't want to head it, but am finally willing to
say to myself "this is the TENTH YEAR and we should CELEBRATE!" Learn from past
fest mistakes and mishaps and just enjoy !
the journey. So I'm in if anyone else wants to help out. I have the contact
numbers for AF that can be called in January. Remember, if we do a reunion this
year it's just that for me...not a fest. Fests are just to costly, but any
ideas on how to make it fun for all let me know.

Thanks,

Cool! Any details? I've got a cool original folksy-style tune about family and
Christmas, and I can lead a few carol and hymn sing-alongs with my acoustic...

I bet you have sold more CD's at the craft fairs than most of us have through
other means. You rock! Keep on crafting and having fun. Wish I could drop by.

Thanks Gary, I'm sorry my emails have been so quick and matter-of-fact. I'm
in the middle of boutique time and I feel like the Thanksgiving Turkey and my
timer is ready to pop. But, yesterday I was able to sell a few of my Christmas
CD "Believe In the Magic" to some very nice folks. If anyone reads this and is
in the Davis Utah reagon the Boutique is at the Davis Center across from Lagoon
and it runs until Saturday around 6:00. Come see me at my booth, and please say
"Hi" .

Hi Marilyn. I know we have exchanged things before, but I never save the

people are hesitant to provide snail mails, so I don't keep them. So send me

I am excited. My new CD just arrived yesterday.

"It is called Valentine Blues: the many faces of love"

It is a collection of 12 quirky love songs such as:
Six Month Blues - about morning sickness
A Long Time - about the cost of courtship
Insect Eyes - a parable about how women scramble a mans brains
Uncontrolled Compassion - the dangers of being too compassionate in a
relationship
I Got the . . . . - there's no word for the opposite of blue
even one called Missed Communications - about a lovers spat
etc.

It won't be up on CD Baby or the web page for a little while. But because this
group has been so supportive of Indie LDS music, and me, I have sort of made
it
a policy to reserve a few CD's for my friends here (a tithe to the group for
their support?). If you would like to have a physical copy of my new CD just
send me your snail mail address off list. First come first served until I run
out of the reserved batch.

It should be available for a listen on the web site within a week or two. I'll
announce that when it happens.

Dear Friends,

The Utah Idaho Performing Arts Company will be presenting my opera "The

The Other Wise Man

"The Other Wise Man" is the touching story of Artaban who was to be among
the Three Kings who brought their gifts before the 'King of Light.' On his
way to meet his friends, he stopped to help a beggar and missed the caravan.
Artaban would spend the next 33 years searching for Him.

This opera reminds us that by serving “the least among these…” we are
serving Him. We invite you to take part of this amazing story with us as we
celebrate the birth of the “King of Light” this Christmas season.

BRIAN MANTERNACH as Artaban
EMILY BOWLES as Vasda
