I remember (or I think I do) seeing and hearing Lena, in
late 1938 or early 1939, singing with Bunny Berigan's
band, in a 'ballroom' outside of New Haven, Connecticut.
Can anybody confirm this?

... Doesn't ring a bell. Lena signed with Sissle&Blake in 1935 (her first contract) and then in 1941 with Charlie Barnett. -- gloria monti, ph.d. assistant...
