There has been some discussion here about Lena's appearance on Frank
Sinatra's show. Have you seen that one? I have, but didn't notice
Sinatra "dissing" Lena as some have suggested here. What do you
think? There has also been some disagreement about what happened
when Sinatra and Horne appeared in a benefit during the 60s (I
believe) that Lena was supporting in support of the civil rights
movement. In her autobiography, Horne states Sinatra didn't have time
to adequately rehearse the songs. Others who have posted here
disagree and insist Sinatra was a fanatic about rehersals.
Would like to see some of Lena's appearances on DVD with Perry Como.
As you know, Lena spoke of Perry Como with highest regard.
Thanks for your posts and let's keep some kind of discussion going.
One last thing, in my quest to "learn about Lena", I find now need to
explore her recordings of the 50s and 60s such as "Lena At The
Waldorf" and "Lena At The Sands" now that they're available on DVD.
