[Leo Kottke page] Re: Just some Leo stuff

Actually, the set was good, almost 90 minutes, I just am having
trouble sorting out which songs he played, without having written
down a set list on the spot. The Sacramento show in May this year
was almost 2 hours though.

He was playing a Taylor 6 string. Last 5 times I have seen him, he
has brought out both Taylor 12 string and 6 string, so it was a
little dissapointing, and only having the 6 string also limited what
he could play and sound good. On Monay Ray he wasn't sure he could
play it, capoed up to 7th fret, tried a real fast run through then
dropped down to capo on 5th fret and seemed to be satisfied and then
played it through.

best,
Greg

Thanks for the rundown, Greg. Sounds like a little shorter set list than the last time I saw Leo a couple of years ago solo in Orange County or the set he did...

Thanks, I appreciate that info. I'm sure the lack of 12-string held him back a bit, but as I've often said to friends and people who I try to proselytize into...
