just wondered if anyone knows of any forthcoming
UK concerts of Leo Sayer coming up at all ?
I believe he is doing some big concerts in Germany
during June 2002 and a TV crew will be filming him
now that the One Man Band campaign is well under way.
The next three reissues of the One Man Band Leo Sayer
series is due for release this coming summer. LEO SAYER -
THUNDER IN MY HEART and ENDLESS FLIGHT. You can pre order
the LEO SAYER CD already at www.amazon.co.uk website. Looking
forward to reading up about Leo's forthcoming new autobiography
so there is something there to look forward too. I have also read
on the RPM website address as follows:- www.rpmrecords.co.uk that
there is a possibility of a Leo Sayer documentary scheduled for
the Autumn.

Even if there are no UK concerts of Leo Sayer coming up at present I
will always remember the last two good one's I went too. The very
first time I met Leo and the second time in Blackpool. Those
wonderful memories will always remain. It was great to have a
photograph taken with Leo, Thank you Leo. It is now stands in a
gold frame - a treasure for ever. I gave Leo a poem I wrote
especially for him. The poem was published in a fanclub newsletter
February 1999. Here it is - the only poem I have written and know it
off by heart. This poem also awarded me a semi-finalist in an open
poetry competition last summer with the International Society of
Poets.

A LEGEND AND A DJ
I recall him from the Seventies
When I was young and other's old,
"You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" "Moonlighting"
Once a DJ on 774 Classic Gold.

Every Sunday From Twelve Til Two,
I'll turn on the radio,
Enjoy another show,
From my favorite host Leo.

I've seen him up there on the stage
All his hits he did play,
`twas an outstanding performance
And does just a good a job being DJ.

Oh it was a pleasure meeting him
I seemed to know him well,
"Good Times","Great Oldies" he evoked
And a story Leo will tell..

Can not wait for next Sunday
Wonder what he'll play for me and you,
"It's Leo Sayer on Classic Gold
playing great music, and songs to sing-a-long too"
