Leo's American Tour   Message List

I have read that Leo is doing some shows in Germany, I believe it is
this month. Also a trip to the United States of America and a first
trip to South America. Am currently renewing passport, so if I get
to know of Leo's American tour details hopefully soon I shall go and
see Leo Sayer in America. That would be truely wonderful.

"A LITTLE ABOUT ME" - I became a devoted fan of Leo Sayer aged 17
now 42 with an endless love and devotion for this wonderful man and
his music. I was born Jacqueline Esme North-Coates in Malaysia,on
1st May 1960 in Kuala Lumpur and came home to England for my first
Christmas. At the age of 10 I grew into a love of music and began
having piano lessons. Having a continuous interest in music ever
since, it was in 1985 that I passed Grade 3 for piano at the
Cheltenham Royal School Of Music... Also played piano in school
assembly's in Lincoln...

Raised and educated in Lincolnshire, then I came to Cheltenham where
I went to college. For two years. Then after going back home for a
while, I returned to live in Cheltenham in December 1983. Found job
as a Telephonist/Receptionist.

It was during my time at college in the Summer of 1977, that I can
clearly recall admiring a picture of Leo Sayer on his album "The
Best Of Leo Sayer" and hearing his many wonderful hit records being
played - When I Need You, Thunder In My Heart, One Man Band, and You
Make Me Feel Like Dancing. I knew who Leo was and thought too
myself, "I'll come back to you later!". Twenty One year's later I
did come back to Leo Sayer. Friday 3rd April 1998, Cheltenham Town
Hall, was the very first time I met Leo Sayer and so full of joy to
know Leo Sayer appearing in Cheltenham, and made a come back. Those
extremely wonderful memories of that night and the extremely
wonderful night in Blackpool on Thursday 14th October 1999, will
always remain a treasure forever...

When I first met Leo I only had the one compact disc which was
20 Great Love Songs of Leo Sayer. Now I have a total of 20 compact
discs, over 30 vynal albums of Leo Sayer, some I have more than one
copy of including Leo's original album SILVERBIRD, and a rare
autographed vynal album of Leo Sayer's Cool Touch, which was
released in 1990. I have approximately 12 - 16 vynal singles, one is
Orchard Road, with the lyrics of the song on the back of the record
sleeve. I even have the words and music to Leo's songs "WHEN I NEED
YOU" written by Carol Bayer-Sager and Albert Hammond, also I have
the words and music to Leo's song "One Man Band" which tells the
story of Leo's days as a busker... I also have about 12 cassettes a
dvd with Leo Sayer performing at the Royal Albert Hall in July 2000 -
Leo's American release of The Very Best Of Leo Sayer as well as the
English release version of The Very Best Of Leo Sayer. I also have a
video of the SAS BAND, with Leo Sayer performing with his best mate
Damon Hill on track 6 in "MY GENERATION". There's Leo showing his
raunchy side of him. I also love the hand movement Leo performs in
his little rendition of "(There's) Always Something There To Remind
Me" on the Special Tribute Burt Bacharach and Hal David DVD...

I discover Leo Sayer the most extremely very interesting and
exciting person and I love reading all about him. There is always
something interesting of Leo Sayer that turns up. I was amazed to
discover Leo is a world-class harp player. I somehow knew Leo was
once a busker and I loved watching Leo play the harmonica, the way
Leo bends those notes is truely remarkable. Leo Sayer is an
excellent showman and person all round....and to appreciate this
wonderful man and his music you have to go and see him perform live
on stage.

My love and devotion to Leo Sayer is endless. I will always love and
support Leo Sayer.

In regards to other Leo Sayer fans, I do hear you all and I
appreciate everything. Thank you so much. It brings me back to full
of life sgain every time I hear you, especially call out LEO...

With a whole world full of love to
Leo always.

From a devoted fan always
Jackie Twine......
