Hello Tony,
I am truly speechless -- a thousand "thank you's" for joining the
club to let us know of your beautiful work! The portrait of Leo and
the story behind it is wonderful, and I have looked around a little
bit at your site listed below your signature as well, all very
impressive! Your message and information about Leo is a very
special addition to this site, I am honored that you took the time
to join and let us know of your work.
Thank you again,

Hello everyone,
My name is Tony Johansen I am an artist who has had the pleasure of painting a
large
portrait of Leo. I made a web site for the painting that gives lots of
background
information about the painting, about Leo, about his origins in Shoreham-by-Sea,
and
how he learned to sing. There are lots of personal observations and things he
told me, and
there is also information about me and how I approached the project as an artist
getting to
know Leo. I added a link to your links page but you can find the site here <a
href="http://
www.voiceinmyhead.net"> Voice In My Head </a> I hope you enjoy the site and
please tell
me what you think of the artwork, there is a contact page on the site.
My favourite leo Sayer album is Voice In My Head and my favourite song is
probably
Maybe. I love the gentleness of that song.

Hi, and welcome to the leosayerfans Clubhouse! It's great, isn't it,
that you could enjoy Leo's music in the past and now your family can
enjoy it in the present. Thank you for letting us know you are liking

Hi Colin,
I'm glad to hear Leo Sayer has a new fan!
If I can think of further places for you to visit to get more of Leo's
music I'll let you know. Not sure whether I mentioned Leo's official
website http://www.leosayer.com for more details too. And, I have just
thought, Ebay is another website...it's an auction site where you can
bid for rare and collectable Leo Sayer items....plus you may like to try
Rhino Records.
I trust this helps you.
Best wishes,
Jackie.
Hey there
Yeah - just done some internet research :) its 'Leo Sayer At His Very
Best' out in the UK on March 6th - its got all the hits on it - 'You
Make Me Feel Like Dancing', 'Thunder in my Heart' (both original and
remix) and `When I Need You' (my fave leo track so far!)
You can get it online at HMV
<http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&s\

Sorry to inform you all, but Leo Sayer is now number 3 in the UK
Charts. But you can now pre-order Leo's new Greatest Hits CD 'At His
Very Best' by following this link http://www.amazon.co.uk
It's nice to learn how Colin found Leo Sayer and is enjoying Leo's
music.
I understand Leo Sayer could be returning to the UK later this year,
during the summer months for more television and concert appearances,
also radio debuts. Best to check out Leo's official website at
http://wwwleosayer.com where the information and details will be
provided, once Leo has them. Up on Leo's news message page to his
website now are the dates for his Australian tour, which is
called 'Meet The Neighbours Tour' and Leo embarks on this tour on 3rd
March 2006.
Also, wonder whether Colin has Leo's CD 'Voice In My Head', which was
released last July. All songs written by Leo Sayer himself, apart
from three, which were co-written with other writers. Two of which
were co-written by Leo Sayer and Albert Hammond. They wrote, 'Almost
Blue' and 'I Never Knew' and one was co-written with Suzie Webb of
the FABBA Girls and that song is called, 'Maybe'. There are 15 brand
new songs on Leo's CD 'Voice In My Head'. Everyone, Pop Life, We Got
Away With It. Just to name a few of them. 'We Got Away With It' hit
the 100 Airplay charts soon after the release of 'Voice In My Head'
CD.
Best wishes,
Jackie.
Hi, Colin!
Welcome to the Yahoo!Fans group! I have heard that Leo has gone to
Number 1 again with the remix of that song, and that he is happy
with the mix himself. It's nice to learn about this; I don't live
in the UK so I don't get to hear it first hand. I did hear about a
new compilation album coming out in early March that is to include
this remix, the album is to be called "Leo Sayer At His Very Best".
I shall be getting a copy as well . . . online . . . I can't wait!
Again, welcome to the Clubhouse, and I hope you enjoy it here!

Never really listened to Leo Before, but became a fan after
the 'Thunder in My Heart again' remix went to number one. Now I can't

Do you know about the new compilation coming out on monday?? I'm gonna

Hi Toni,
Welcome to the Clubhouse! The only thing I can suggest is that you
either post your letter here, or he does have a personal "official"
website, www.leosayer.com -- that information EVERYONE has access to.
The only place you can send a message there, though, is with an e-mail
to his management. Since this Yahoo!Fans Clubhouse is a fan site, we
would not have access to that kind of information, where to send Leo
information on a personal basis.

Hi
I would really like to send Leo a letter. Not a fan mail really, just
about When I Need You and what it meant to me........and my daughter.
Something personal I wanted him to know, my appreciation if you like.
I am in UK, how can I get a letter to him? I have no idea as he is in
Australia.
Pleeeeese help!! Toni, UK.
There's a half page article on LEO SAYER IN THE DAILY MAIL on page 50,
today's date Monday 20th February, 2006. It's very interesting and I
love the little cartoon of Leo Sayer too.
Regards, Jackie.
Hi, just thought I'd share with you the reason why Leo Sayer means so much to
me. When I was 12 years old I was placed in a childrens home due to the
seperation of my parents and my mother's illness at the time. As you can well
imagine this was a time of great sadness and confussion for me. I fell deathly
ill whilst in the home and the doctor feared I might die or at best suffer some
form of brain damage. One day a member of the staff in the home bought me a Leo
Sayer record to listen to, it was 'Just A Boy'. The music made me feel good. The
more I heard it, the better I felt. I recovered from my illness with no side
effects, no brain damage....that I know of.... all due to Leo! I was only in
this childrens home for 3 months, it was a horrible place, most of the girls
were there for behavior reasons, so some of the things I had to endure were
terrible, Leo was my sanity! Certain songs still take me back to those days back
in 1977 and although it used to bring a tear to my eyes, it
was a tear for the 'happy' times I had, the times I was able to lose myself in
the music and survive the bad times. I would love to meet Leo one day and thank
him personally!
Karen.

I was wondering about if anyone knows about the sax edit verson on
this song. As far as I know this verson was only a radio station
verson & to me was the better verson of it. Does anyone know out there
what that was on ? I've purchased 45 r.p.m. radio versons of the song
& none were that verson. Thank for your help ! L.S.
Hi Andrew,
Welcome to the Clubhouse! I'm glad you found your tape and that you
are enjoying it. There are DVD's out there, there is one that I
purchased from an online store in Australia called "One Night In
Sydney" that is playable in all regions that use PAL format only,
and there's another DVD "Live in Korea" that is playable in all
regions that use NTSC format only. I'm not sure if either is
available in other formats besides those. It depends on what
country you are in whether or not you can play those DVD's, you
would just need to be careful before buying. Good luck finding what
you're looking for, and thank you for your post and I hope you'll
come back and join us again!

According to the Daily Mail today (page 7) Leo may come home following
Thunder In My Heart Again going straight into the charts at Number 1!
Fingers crossed for some European concerts this year !
For those of you, who were unable to get the radio station, here's a
review of the Leo Sayer Interview On Radio Two. It was a brilliant
Leo
Sayer Interview On Radio Two. The show was broadcast live on air,
today, Wednesday 1st February, 2006. It followed, not
long after the 3 O'clock news. And the show began with Leo's hit
record's 'The Show Must Go On' which reached number 2 in the UK
Charts in 1973.
America's Three Dog Night did a cover version of 'The Show
Must Go On'. After, the song 'The Show Must Go On' was played, it was
followed by Leo's hit 'Thunder In My Heart'. Also, the re-mix version
of that fine song. Then Leo Sayer and the DJ, Steve Wright were in
conversation. Leo sounding immensely happy, joyful and chatty. It was
brilliant to hear Leo again. Leo talked about his hits, and when he
first started out, back to the days of The Old Grey Whistle Test,
dueting the voice of Miss. Piggy, became an art student, a busker,
and
probably found in arch-ways. Leo is currently in the UK until next
week.
He has his own house now in Australia. And said about getting his
Australian Citizenship this year. Leo mentioned he loves dancing. He
also mentioned about Roger Daltry, and providing songs for Daltry on
his first solo album. Daltry recorded and released the Sayer-Courtney
songs back in the early 70's. Leo Sayer and David Courtney wrote the
songs together in the basement of Wykham Terrace, in the centre of
Brighton in England. It's about a half an hour drive away from where
Leo's was born and raised, in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex.
It was at the time, when Adam Faith was Leo Sayer's Manager.
And, I have just remembered to inform you all, keep a look out at
http://www.leosayer.com website, as this year, I believe Leo is
hoping to release a new album/CD 'Greatest Hits', so do keep a look
out for that one too.
Be back with more news soon,
With best wishes,
Jackie Coates.
LEO SAYER looks as stunning as ever, and another brilliant performance,
performed by the incredible man himself, LEO SAYER.
Well as you all know, I was definitely glued to the television screen
this morning and I immensely enjoyed watching and listening to Leo
Sayer, who belted out his hit song, 'Thunder In My Heart'. Recently re-
titled to 'Thunder In My Heart Again' by Meck, which is due to be
released soon, and set to be a number one spot for the charts. For
details of this, keep a look out at Leo Sayer's official website
http://www.leosayer.com also check out Amazon.Com where I believe you
can pre-order the new single there already.
We also had an added little bonus from Leo Sayer this morning, when he
sang out a line of his hit song 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing'. The
song was a number One in the USA American Billboard Charts and a number
2 in the UK Charts during the year, 1976.
Best wishes, Jackie Coates.
Hi Sellie, and Everyone,
Just thought I ought to let you all know, if you're unable to access
the links I gave you in my previous email, my advice would be to try
this following weblink http://www.sasband.com and go into the
Messageboard of that website. Once you're in the messageboard
section, you will come across a heading titled 'Jackie - Leo Sayer
Expert' that's my special page. Well if you click into my page,
scroll down the messages, you will come to the links I gave you in my
previous email on this website. And I am sure you will gain access to
the websites in the links I have given out on my page.
I found those links just by surfing the net for Leo Sayer concerts
for this year. It looks like Leo will be touring Australia for most
of this year, and the concert that he's performing at The Revesby
Workers Club on the weekend of 3rd and 4th March 2006 in Sydney, is
to celebrate his new home which is now Australia.
I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for you all and once I
hear or find anything, I will post details here for you instantly to
keep you all informed well in advance. We must appreciate that Leo's
website is only up-dated approximately once every six months, when
Leo will write a newsletter, which must be difficult on one's own,
amidst a few other responsibilities.
I hope this helps you all,
With best wishes,
Jackie
As always, folks, I would like to reply with a reminder that it is
best to rely on Leo's official website for news and information.
While I appreciate Jackie and anyone letting us know if they hear of
news regarding Leo, I just can't determine if I'm letting accurate
information up on this board if I can't click on the links to
verify. There are a couple of links below that cannot be found.
Perhaps it is because a website is down and one or both of them will
work at another time, but I have received a couple of
different "error" messages when clicking on each of the links below,
so the problem may lie elsewhere.
While I don't like to allow messages that have links that do not
work, I also think there might be valuable information in the
message, so I let it go with this reply along with it so folks can
be aware there may be some Leo news and then find out for themselves
how accurate it is. Once again, this is not an "official" Leo
site, "official" news and information is found on his website, which
Jackie has referenced below.

Dear All,
I am writing to inform you all that the message I recently posted
regarding LEO SAYER IN CONCERT AT 'THE THIRSTY SCHOLAR' was incorrect
and my apologies for this. What has happened there, was on my page
at 'Jackie Leo Sayer Expert' I asked a question, something like, does
anyone know anything about Leo's UK Tour? and someone by the name of
Graham replied to me, informing me that he has details of Leo Sayer
performing at 'The Thirsty Scholar' on Saturday, 1st October 2005
from 8pm - 10pm. I telephoned the Venue this morning, UK Time just
after 9am, and they informed me, "No, sorry he's not." I thought, I
would email you this disappointing news, and apologize for any
inconvenience this may have caused.
I wrote the same message to everyone on my special string at
'Jackie Leo Sayer Expert' on the SAS BAND website
http://www.sasband.com and that, I am sorry, but I will NOT accept
wind-up's in the future, and will always await for further
confirmation and detials, as and when Leo publicises them on his
Official website at
http://www.leosayer.com which I can assure you, I am sure he will do
in due course.
My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I am not
happy about being wound up about this! And once again, sorry to
disappoint everyone.
Regards,
Jackie
I bought a ticket to see Leo in Oxford once.... concert was cancelled :-(
So, I need to see Leo live ..... maybe in London..... to hear the new album
and lots of classic older stuff live.
Cheers !

Hi Julie!
Welcome to the Leo Sayer Fans Clubhouse! This site is a fan site,
so we are not the first to have news about any tour dates, but the
best place to check is Leo's official site. Usually you'll find
news about tour dates by going to www.leosayer.com and clicking on
the News button, and I'm providing a direct link to the page here:
http://www.leosayer.com/newslett.html
I think I remember his mentioning some possible UK dates coming up
there, but he has since taken that down so that may mean those plans
have been changed for at least now -- which might make sense since
Leo just moved to Australia and I'm sure is still getting settled in.
Thank you for joining our group, thank you for introducing yourself
(I eat too much chocolate too! :) ) . . . and I hope you enjoy
posting here!

Hi
My name is Julie, I live in Cannock, Staffordshire in the UK.
I have been a fan of Leo's since Te Show must go on" and have long
since lost count of how many times I have seen him live. The last
time was in 1999 at the Symphony Hall Birmingham when I was lucky
enough to meet him after the show too.
I have wide tastes in music. I love live acts and besides Leo my
favourite live acts are Bryan Adams, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel,
Tony Hadley, David Cassidy and the Osmonds; a very wierd mixture I
know! I also love the early Genesis and John Lennon's music.
I have two fantastic daughters, work too hard, don't earn as much as
I deserve, eat too much chocolate and should get more sleep.
My big question is WHEN IS LEO GOING TO DO A UK TOUR? (And then I
say a little prayer that it is not when I've got tickets for the
Osmonds Spring Tour!)
Julie

Any offers of anyone wishing to come to Berlin with me to see
Leo Sayer in concert? I think it would be great if a group of us could
all go together. What do you think on that one?
I'd love to see Leo Sayer again, and I can't wait to see Leo Sayer
again.
If not in Germany, then we'll all have to keep a look out for Leo's
U.K. Tour dates and venues, and roll on when Leo's website gets re-
launched on the Internet. It's not working and I miss reading all about
Leo's latest news and visiting his up-dates.
