Have you ever checked the info page on Leo Sayer's official website at
http://www.leosayer.com? See some of the links that Leo Sayer visits
regularly on the web - it is very interesting, I find, and I have also
learnt that the Tate Gallery in London, is Leo's favourite art
gallery. I remember someone once did a big painting of Leo Sayer. (I
believe it was in Australia, recently)Sorry I can't recall the
artist's name -now, but I suggested he put the portrait of Leo Sayer
up in London's Tate Gallery. I think he thought that was a good idea,
and its strange how I suggested that and it happens to be Leo's
favourite art gallery -that's truly amazing that is. I enjoy browsing
through Leo's favourite links. Also, his news message page should be
up-dated soon and all being well it will be in the next week or so. So
do please keep a look out. I wonder what plans Leo has afoot for this
year! I hope he'll soon be touring the UK again, and come back to
Cheltenham again. That would be brilliant that would be.

I regularly keep a look out on (my hero)Leo Sayer's official website
to see when further news/details have been posted. I thoroughly
enjoy his website, and admire the pics of Leo on there too.

I totally agree with Leo's wish list on there.

Leo Sayer's birthday is just 20 days after mine, we're both the same
star sign!

Best wishes,
Jackie - Charlotte

>Dear Shirley,

You're welcome! Its good to hear from you too.

If you're looking for more Leo Sayer CD's, I would suggest for you
to try out these following websites:-Amazon, RMP Records, Rhino
Records, and Ebay. The only thing with Ebay is that its a 'bidding'
website where members bid for items but they do have quite a number
of Leo Sayer items and so does the website eil.com.

If you haven't got Leo Sayer's most recent new CD
'Voice In My Head', you can actually hear a demo of it at Leo's
official website, and you can also read up about the making of that
ablum on his website too.

You may also find pictures of Leo Sayer in the 80's at Ebay.
I trust this helps. Please don't hestiate to email me again, and I
will do my best to help.

Good Luck!

With best wishes,

Jackie

appreciate you so much for writing me and giving me lots of details
of Leo. I do own some CDs and one DVD of Leo. Years ago, I bought
almost all his albums that were available in Hong Kong. But nowadays
I can no longer play them and the CDs are not very complete. Well,
when I read the way you recalled the good old days that you listened
to his songs, looking at his pictures admiring him... I remember I
actually took the pictures from the album covers and put them in my
wallet and frames. I wish I had more pictures of him in the 80's. He
looked great! I loved him so much and still crazy for him though
haven't seen him in person. The thing about going to Australia or UK
to see him, I'd love to do that. I'll keep an eye on his website and
the update. Thanks very much! I feel good communicating with you,
I'm sure it's because of Leo, that we both love him very much! It's
really nice of you to reply me. Thanks again!

Leo tends to up-date his website once every six months, (wish it was

Otherwise, I would just keep surfing the net and search for Leo

You would have enjoyed British television January of last year, when
Leo Sayer made a remarkable appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. He
even gave us a little rendition of his song 'Happy Hour'. I wonder
what's happening with 'Happy Hour' and wondering whether Leo will
record it and release it on his new official forthcoming Australian
album. More details of that album will I believe be edited on his
news message page on his website, perhaps in early May time that's

You would have also enjoyed a programme we had here in the UK

I just love that man and his music, he's brilliant! I wonder whether

Leo's stayed with me clear as crystal in my mind all these years too!

I hope Leo will tour the UK again soon and it would be brilliant if
he performs another concert at Cheltenham's Town Hall.

I meant to mention in a previous email the programme where Leo Sayer
featured remarkably in many of the episodes was 'The Entertainers'.

Best wishes, Jackie - Charlotte

You guys! I am from Hong Kong. Still not getting a chance to meet him in person!
Can you guys imagine that? So I don't have any memory with him! That's sad! He

Hi Williamgoldenpen,

Yep, too right Leo is still the best there is! That's lovely to know
you still have a picture in your mind, as clear as crystal - as I do
too.

And If my memory serves me rightly the Rolls Royce, was a black one
and after that he then had a 'people's carrier', a silver grey
metalic car just before he emigrated to Australia. I spotted it in
the hotel's carpark adjacent to the Holiday Inn at Eastleigh.

Those clear as crystal memories I have of Leo Sayer will stay with
me forever. The first ever Leo Sayer concert I went to was exactly
10 years ago and almost to the date, Friday 3rd April, 1998 at
Cheltenham's Town Hall, and the second one I went to was in Blackpool
on Thursday 14th October, 1999 at Brannigans Nightclub.

Then I saw Leo in concert on Saturday 31st July, 2004 at Eastleigh,
when he performed with his musical friends, The SAS BAND
celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and what another brilliant night
that was too.

Best wishes,

Yep. Happy birthday Leo. You are still the best there is. I still
have a picture in my mind, as clear as crystal, of you leaning up
against the bonnet of your first Rolls Royce when we were both young
men. Stayed with me all these years. Live long Leo.

Yes I totally agree it is great to see this group is still active!
And being a big number one Leo Sayer fan, I wonder whether Leo will
still record and release his song 'Happy Hour'. I heard him sing
snippets of it when he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in January
2007. It sounded just great! I'd love a copy of it.

Just to let you know, my original name is Jacqui but occasionally I am
also known now as Charlotte. I am happy to be called either Jacqui or
Charlotte.

I wonder what Leo has in store for us this year as he approaches to
celebrate his big 60th birthday! And I also wonder how he got on at
Breakthrough's charity ball in London, where I gather he played disco
in mid-January this year. I certainly hope to go and see Leo Sayer in
concert again he is just absolutely brilliant!

Best wishes

Thank you for your email reply William, much appreciated, and pleased I got
your name right. Yes it would be good if Leo visits America again for more
concerts, especially Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, where I live.

I wish you lots of luck, and happiness living in Texas. Too right, Leo Sayer,
is the very best of the best! I hope you get to see him, and meet him one
day. I've been extremely fortunate, and met him a couple of times, and seen him
perform live on three occasions. And when he returned to Gloucestershire to
present a series of his own radio shows, I got him back with playing 'When I
Need
You' to him.

Stay in touch,
Best wishes, Charlotte </HTML>

Yep, you got the name right. I lived in the U.K. till 5 years ago and
now live in Texas, U.S.A. I hope our man manages to get over here one
of these days. There have been many great singers but Leo is the very
best of the very best.

Hi there folks, my name is Charlotte and I am a big Leo Sayer fan and
have been ever since 1977. Its good to see there's still a place to
chat about Leo Sayer, my hero as unfortunately the messageboard that
was on Leo's official website closed down some years ago, and so did
the messageboard on Leo's musical friends website The SAS BAND. I've
been searching for Leo Sayer concerts particularly in the U.K the only
one I have come across so far is a special performance Leo is doing for
the Breakthrough Cancer Charity. He'll be coming to London briefly
sometime this month. And the only other future gig I have come across
so far is Leo Sayer performing at Brookhampton Court Estate in Perth,
Australia on February 9th 2008. For further details regarding this gig
please visit the following website
http://www.brookhamptonestate.com.au - Main gates open 4pm.
Entertainment begins at 5.30pm - its an open air concert. Wish I could
be there! I also read and know that it is Leo's BIG 60TH Birthday on
May 21st so in advance, I wish Leo Sayer congratulations and a happy
60th birthday and many many more returns!
I totally agree with William, (hope I've got your name right) who
stated Leo Sayer is the best ever. He definitely is!

Hi William,
Good to hear from you, and good to hear you're a Leo Sayer fan, and yes
you're quite right, Leo is the best ever! I think you maybe able to listen to
some of Leo's music by going to the official Leo Sayer website by clicking onto
the following link _www.leosayer.com_ (http://www.leosayer.com) and then
click on the icon where it says 'Voice In My Head' New Studio Album, and in
there
there are links, click on the one where it says sample tracks, and you can
listen to sample tracks of that brilliant CD which was released in 2005, if my
memory serves me rightly.

I trust this helps.

Best wishes,

Hi Williamgoldenpen,

Thank you for joining in the clubhouse, welcome! If you mean that
you are looking for live or recorded special programs that Leo is
involved in, the only way I know that you can hear these is to catch
them when they come around. The best way to know what's coming up
is to check Leo's official site, www.leosayer.com for anything he
would like to let us know is coming up. Since Leo is living in
Australia at the moment, you might want to check online Australian
radio stations from time to time to learn of any upcoming
appearances. Try this link:

http://www.radiotower.com/

There are lots of places to order CD's and DVD's of Leo's online,
Leo's official site shows where you can order some of them. My fan
site also shows some of these places under the "Merchandise" button:

http://www.leosayer.34sp.com/leosayer.html

I hope this helps, and again, thank you for joining!

Hi Tennessee Waterfall,

Welcome to the Clubhouse! I know Leo toured the USA back around the
time that those hits were out on the radio, but it has been a number
of years since he has toured the US. It's really nice to know that
he still has a lot of airplay, though. Thank you for that
information!

Hope you'll feel free to stay around the Clubhouse and keep
contributing!

Hi Jackie,

I'm so glad to hear from you and I start feeling friendship between us
already! It's all because of Leo. I'm so happy to know that you're his super
fans. I truly hope to meet him one day! Do you know where he lives in Australia?
Does he know you personally? Do you own his music video on DVD, not live
concert? It's very hard to find here in Hong Kong. Also, I'd like to know what
happened to his wife? Jackie, I'm sorry that I ask many questions. Sometime I
just have so many things I want to know about him but don't know where to start.
Hope you bear with me. Thanks for being very friendly to me. God bless you!

Jackie,

Seems like you're a super fan of Leo! I just recently found out
about this site. My name is Shirley and I live in Hong Kong. I love
Leo since I was 10. But I never been about to meet him or to see him
in person. I even missed the only concert he has in the year 1979. I
was too little then and had no access to any of the info of him.
Ever since I just keep listening to his album. I always dream to be
able to meet him in person and tell him how I started to love him.
Now I'm so glad that I can know more about him through you guys!
Thanks, I hope we'll be able to get to know each other since we all
love Leo! Have a good day! Thanks again!

Selli,
It is my pleasure. Afterall the purpose of making art is to communicate
feelings, thoughts,
and observations with other people. Usually that is done through exhibitions in
buildings,
but I am different and I use the internet to reach a global audience. It means
all sorts of
unexpected things happen like being featured on the breakfast show at Splash FM.
It also
means I can find all sorts of interesting people such as yourselves.

Please tell all your friends about the painting and email them the link to the
website. BTW
you may enjoy having a look at another website dealing with another portrait
entry in the
Archibald Prize here:

                               http://www.gofigure.net.au

Although as the subject was myself it is probably not as pretty a picture as
Leo's :-). I hope
you are having a wonderful day.
