Hi! I am new here! I LOVE Lew DeWitt! I listen to the Statlers
every day on my iPod and on my CD player in my car. I have 2 boys -
Alex - 11.5, and Ryan - 8. The music drives them crazy, but I know
they will appreciate it when they are older, and any time they hear a
Statler song, will remember their dear mom! I am 43, and live about
40 minutes north of St. Louis - across the river in Godfrey/Alton,
Illinois.
I wanted to answer this question about this song. I have the song on
an album I purchased from eBay. The album is called "30 Great Hits
By 30 Great Country Artists - Vol. 3" Put out by Columbia, and
copyrighted 1968 CBS Direct Marketing Services. The song is
entitled "She Went a Little Bit Farther." I don't know about the
Brown Eyes. If that was another song on the back of the 45? Anyway,
I don't have the know how to transfer music from record to CD, but I
have used my Casio camera to capture music from albums and cassettes
to put onto my computer. So, I do have song on my computer.
Also, I have another ablum - "Christmas The Johnny Cash Family" dated
1972. This album includes the Statlers, and a solo song by Lew -
"Old Fashioned Tree".
I hope any of this info has helped.
It's funny when I was a kid I like the Statler Brothers, but was
always drawn to the bass. Now, when I hear them sing - the tenor is
all I hear.
Thanks for letting me join!
Nancy
