I don't think anyone uses this for Lightning Seeds chat anymore, so
it may as well be shut down at some point. However, if you do want
to talk Lightning Seeds & Broudie related things head off to the

A good place for Older Women and Younger Men, or Oder men and Younger

Sorry. What piece of information? If you mean about Ian and Paul not
knowing the lyrics themselves, it was a joke. It was just a little
dig at Ian who has a tendency to forget his lyrics when he's singing
live. A FRIENDLY did, before anyone tries to decapitate me. :-)

It's not quite acoustic, but it has guitars and instruments as opposed to
computers :-)
Don't get me wrong, I really like Tilt, but I also really like Sense and
miss the tunes and accessibility of that album.
I've put up "Why Why Why (Group Version 97)" on my FTP site at
http://www.ecel.uwa.edu.au/~tim/www.mp3 - I'll leave it there for a few days.

News to me as well; I love the samplers, but an acoustic album
would still be welcome, particularly after such a long hiatus!
I'd love to hear that acoustic "Why, Why, Why"...would it be
possible to set up a trade of some sort? I'm not on Kazaa, but I am on
WinMX.
Actually, here's my newbie question...I'm American, and it's next
to impossible to find rare Lightning Seeds things out here. I've snagged a
few unusual B-sides, acoustic covers, and remixes thanks to Ebay and
WinMX, but if anyone has any suggestions as to where I can find more, I'd
love to hear them. =)
Ashley B.
Thanks, Sean, that's news to me at least! This sounds really promising -
I've just come across (kazaa) an acoustic sounding (Sense era) version of
Why Why Why and was just thinking "why why why use all those samplers,
bring back the guitar and accordion and harmonica and..." :-)

Sean.
may i ask where you got this bit of info?
well, i've actually found lyrics to 'whatever
possessed you', but they all seemed incorrect.

Hi, I'm new in town and already I'm after something :-)
Some years ago, I heard Ian Broudie singing "Pure" live on Radio 1.
It was just him and an acoustic guitar. Some R1 DJ - Simon Mayo
maybe - was going to office Christmas parties and he took Ian to one.
I've been after a copy of this ever since, it was just stunning. Can
anyone please please help me find it? Thanks,
sally.allan@...
Even Brouie and Simpson didn't know the lyrics. :-) You'll be lucky.
I've looked for the lyrics myself but to no avail and trying to
translate them from the album is damn near impossible. Good luck
anyway.
Nik
