Dear LHS Band Family,

I am sorry to inform you that former LHS Band Booster President Glenn Smith died this week. It is my understanding that he had a long battle with cancer.

Glenn was the president of our booster organization when I arrived at Linganore in 1995. He was instrumental in helping me to transition to my new position here, always with a listening ear and sound advice. Glenn's willingness to share my vision for this music program is one of the reasons we have accomplished so much over the past nine years. His was a kind and gentle soul with much wisdom. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, and every student who passes through our band will benefit from his contributions. May he rest in God's eternal peace.

Friends and family are being received this evening at Stauffer funeral home on Oppossumtown Pike in Frederick.
