Beer Before Triptophan Never Something Something
Hey LBP Family,
We wondered if moving this years LBP Thanksgiving Eve Bash from it's
normal Deans home to Clarks was a good idea. We knew that a stage and
a big sound system would be nice but we're kinda suckers for
tradition. It turned out to be a great idea (I don't remember for sure
but I must have thought of it, the best ideas are normally mine).

The day started early - at about Four o'clock, Marc came over to my
house to change strings and just BS for a little while. He brought his
newest buddy JD along for the ride. JD had been hanging out for a
while but hadn't been to an LBP event as of yet and he soon found out
that while the the 2 hours on stage is the most fun that a group of
heterosexual guys (ok so Marc is questionable) can have together but
the 4 hours before the show and the 4 after pretty much feel like
work. Musicians don't get paid to play music (we would do that for
free), we get paid to wait. JD really knows how to carry our shit and
drink for free.... and talk about his treo 650...... and talk about
building an Atari..... and building a bomb....I could go on forever
with that. Erin and Emily have joined the crew and were on hand to
sell/give away LBP stuff. Between the two of them they were wearing
the equivalent of one LBP T-shirt and nobody seemed to mind.

We knew we had an opening band but had never heard of them. It turns
out that "Snowshoe & Lewis" are the latest project of long time LBP
friend Wasi (he's a one name rock star guy) and the rhythm guitar
player is none other than Deans/Clarks big man Toby (he'll have them
doing "Light My Fire" in no time. I'm sure). Trust me check them out.
They were ridiculous! (just in case you're wondering, in my language
ridiculous is a huge compliment)

Little Brother went on stage as a stripped down three piece
(everything comes full circle) and many people have called it the best
LBP show ever. The first set was sandwiched in between two halves of
"Urban Ocean" and the second set began with our newest song "Skyline"
- ask Phyve what this one is about sometime, he writes about some deep
shit. We even got talked into "Night Rider" (girls always get what
they want). Most importantly, the room was full and the vibe was huge.

On the way home, I worried about a couple of people who shouldn't be
driving but it was me (completely sober) who had to jump a curb at
60mph to avoid a wreck that I almost created. My wife was in the back
seat and I was watching her in the rear view (my wife is hot). She
didn't feel that her hotness was a very good excuse for almost killing
us all but she did agree that she's hot.

Anyway,
Thanx to everyone who came out,
We'll be out of town for a while but start making plans for New Years,
this one's going to be big!
See ya'll soon,
Coy - LBP Bass
