I recently went back to Vermont to visit my father who is ill. I haven't been in
12 years. For
those of you who dont know, I spent 17 years growing up at the base of
Killington
Mountain and moved here for college.
What I realized is how easily you can pick up where you leave off. I haven't
seen my father
or my friends in that entire time and the second we saw each other, it was like
we were in
high school, throwing toilet paper wads out of my window at cars all over again.
It made
me think of Little Brother Project a lot.
LBP started as a way to get paid to improvise at a bar that had no customers due
to the
rail going in downtown. We never expected it to become what it is today and over
the
course of those two years we played hundreds of shows. LBP has been taking a lot
of time
off to work on this record. 2 and a half years to be exact.
So, the point of this story is.........come throw toilet paper wads out of the
window with us
again. Just watch out for people catching you do it. Thats not as much fun.
