Last week was another week of great music in Houston.

After a very warm welcome back at Deans last week I (Marc) played a
show with old band Drop Trio. Both shows went fabulously and had a
great number of people. Then it was off to Moses Guest on
Saturday. But first I met up with Jeff at Slade's house where they
had all been drinking since the St. Arnold Brewery Tour at 1pm that
day. We were sitting at Texadelphia on Memorial watching the end of
the Patriots game when the quite inebriated Jeff turns to me and
whispers, at the TOP of his lungs, "There are some hot ladies with
us at this table." Needless to say they all heard him. Then, with
the most straight face and boyish grin, Jeff turns to one of them
and says, "I love you". She looked in astonishment then gave a
flirtatious smile and said "Thank you".

Ahhhh, beer. Helping us all get an I love you, a flirtatious smile
and the guts to take those chances. One sip at a time.
