"BATTLE OF THE BANDS"
So, Tyson calls to ask if we want to be in a battle of the bands contest.
"Yeah, why not?" "Well, its in Nacogdoches, TX. and there are three rounds
to qualify." UGGG. So, being the troopers we are, we sign on. The promoter
was a little vague with the details and we could not get a definite on the
dates and times. Tyson, being the ever professional and no nonsense business
man that he is, had enough. After weeks of the run around he called the
promoter and said "No, there is no need for us to qualify, just line us up
on the last night. Oh, you better have your check book ready because we're
taking your money."

We drive into Nacogdoches after the almost three hour drive and have a
little trouble finding the bar. We ask three girls in a car parked next to
us for directions and ask them if they are planning on going. "Jitterbugs??
Hell no, that place sucks!" As Tyson sunk into the back seat of my SUV, we
all shared a great laugh.

We get to the venue and walk in to see what time we are scheduled. Sure
enough, we are NOT ON THE BILL. Tyson grabs the schedule and politely tells
the promoter that he is wrong and we are playing next. We play for a
whopping twelve minutes before the house music is turned up during our song
"Slippery". We all hung around until 1 waiting for the judges to decide and
then they announced it verdict.

"We would like to call Little Brother Project to the stage!!" We won
$1000.00 and the promise of being signed to a TN based label. We have heard
that promise before, but never at the same time as being handed $1000 in
cash. We will keep you updated on it as it unfolds. Tyson you proved yet
again that, you are the man.
