Dear friends of Live Oak Coffeehouse,
Please consider buying a season pass for our new Fall 2003 season! It would
truly help the coffeehouse, our performers, and the LOCAL charities and service
organizations that benefit from our shows. It's $40 for five shows, which is $8
a show, and I'll do the math for you -- that saves you two bucks a show and ten
bucks for the season. Hey, you're on your way to buying a CD from a favorite
coffeehouse artist! Please think about it. And now, back to our regularly
scheduled news (please note a change in our November bill)...

Will Benefit the Homeless

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUGUST 2003 (Austin, Texas) – In the first concert at its new venue in Cedar
Park, the Live Oak Coffeehouse Concert Series presents Jack Williams of
Kerrville in a benefit performance for the Capitol Area Homeless Alliance.
Stuart Adamson of Austin will open the show. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday, August 22, at the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church.

Admission is $10 or a season pass at the door. Gourmet coffee and pastries will
be served, and are included in the price of admission.

As always, the concert will be smoke-free and alcohol-free, putting the emphasis
on the music and the musicians. Three-quarters of the gate goes to the
performers, and one-quarter to the selected charity. Since the coffeehouse is an
all-volunteer, non-profit organization, all of the money from admissions paid at
the door and season passes goes to the performers and the charity.

The mission of the Capitol Area Homeless Alliance is “to transform Austin’s
growing homeless population into persons who have access to safe, decent and
affordable housing.” The organization’s programs are available at the Austin
Resource Center for the Homeless, Fourth and Nueces in downtown Austin. For more
information on the alliance, call them at 476-4357 or visit their Web site at
www.caha-austin.org.

Jack Williams is an artist for all seasons...a 40-year veteran of the road...a
ray of moonlight on the lost highway. He is a joyously reckless performer who
only knows to go where his heart says go. His is music born at the meeting
ground of the traditional and the contemporary...original song writing and
performance drawing deeply from the eclectic well of our musical heritage. Now
based in Kerrville, Jack was a main-stage performer at the 2003 Kerrville Folk
Festival, playing with Ronny Cox, Wendy Waldman, and others. He has frequently
performed at the prestigious festival. His new CDs are “Walkin’ Dreams”
and “Live -- & In Good Company,” and are available on his Web site,
www.jackwilliamsmusic.com.

Stuart Adamson is a Texas musician whose music reflects his roots, but who also
stresses fun in his music. He released his first CD in 2001, and many of the
songs reflect his love of Texas. More about Stuart and his CD, “Weekends Were
Made for Living,” is at his site, www.stuartadamson.com.

Here are the upcoming dates in our new Fall 2003 season. All shows are scheduled
for 7:30 p.m.
SEPTEMBER 12 – Thad Beckman of Portland, Oregon, and Danny Britt of Austin.
OCTOBER 10 – The Winstons of Boulder, Colorado; Jean Synodinos (formerly of
The Nonchalants) of Austin to open.
NOVEMBER 14 – David LaMotte of Asheville, North Carolina, and Jenny Reynolds

Universalist Church, located at 3315 El Salido Parkway, Cedar Park TX 78613. For
