NOVEMBER 2003 (Austin, Texas) - The Live Oak Coffeehouse Concert Series this
month presents Jenny Reynolds and David LaMotte in a musical performance
benefiting Austin Habitat for Humanity. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday,
November 14, at the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church in Cedar Park.

Admission is $10 or a season pass at the door. Gourmet coffee and pastries
will be served, and are included in the price of admission.

As always, the concert will be smoke-free and alcohol-free, putting the
emphasis on the music and the musicians. Three-quarters of the gate goes to the
performers, and one-quarter to the selected charity. Since the coffeehouse is an
all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization, all of the money from admissions
paid at the door and season passes goes to the performers and the charity.

Austin Habitat for Humanity is the local branch of the world-famous
organization that helps families find new homes, through "sweat equity" and
volunteer
efforts. Habitat for Humanity International is a Christian organization and
welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to Habitat's goal of
eliminating poverty housing. For more information, call 472-8788 or visit their
Web
site at www.austinhabitat.org.

A New Folk Finalist at the 2003 Kerrville Folk Festival, Jenny Reynolds has
just relocated to Austin from Boston. She has also just released a new,
full-length CD entitled "Bet on the Wind." Co-produced by Richard Gates and
Chris
Rival, "Bet on the Wind" explores a roots sound, incorporating strong melodies
with precise, poetic lyrics. This fully produced CD features Catie Curtis on
harmony vocals, as well as guitar gods Duke Levine and Kevin Barry. Her first
full-length recording, "Colored in Poetry," earned a 1999 Kahlua Boston Music
Award nomination for Outstanding Debut Contemporary Folk Album. A contributor
and
original associate producer of "The Respond CD" (Signature Sounds), this
native of Boston is a former high school English teacher who has long been a
student of Boston's local scene. In recent years, Jenny has enjoyed touring
nationally, including the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Oklahoma, Kansas
and
Texas.

It's been more than 12 years since David LaMotte has had a real job or a real
haircut. In that time he has released seven albums and performed 1,500-plus
shows in 40 states and 10 countries, sharing stages along the way with artists
like Arlo Guthrie, Shawn Mullins, Buddy Miles, Gillian Welch, John Gorka, Jez
Lowe and David Wilcox. His latest album, "Good Tar," is a two-CD live
recording with 20 songs and several stories. In the last two years David has not
only
released his seventh recording and a new boxed set of all the CD titles, but
has toured extensively through the U.S., Europe, New Zealand and Australia,
where he was featured at the Australian National Folk Festival. In June he was a
main-stage performer at the internationally known Kerrville Folk Festival.
Plans are under way for another European tour in the fall of 2003; in January
2004, he will be the headliner for the 2004 Auckland Folk Festival in New
Zealand; and in the spring he is planning a peace tour in Israel and Palestine.

Still remaining in the Fall 2003 season of the Live Oak Coffeehouse Concert
Series is a performance on Friday, December 5, at 7:30 p.m. We call it "Austin
songwriters in the round," with Michael Austin, Frank Meyer, and Bill Oliver
playing and singing.

Here's our Spring 2004 season schedule. All shows are on Fridays, with the
music beginning at 7:30 p.m. each night.
JANUARY 9, 2004: Berkley Hart of San Diego, California.
FEBRUARY 13, 2004: Peter Mayer of Stillwater, Minnesota.
MARCH 12, 2004: Austin's Sarah Pierce and the Healers.
APRIL 23, 2004: Terri Allard of Batesville, Virginia, and Andrew McKnight of
Middleburg, Virginia.
MAY 21, 2004: Rachel Bissex of Burlington, Vermont, and Stephanie Corby of
Austin.

Stay tuned for further information on a special show!

Doors open at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14, at the Live Oak Unitarian
Universalist Church, located at 3315 El Salido Parkway, Cedar Park. For driving
directions, visit the church's Web site at www.liveoakuu.org or call 219-9008.
