What's a Malvina?   Message List

The question should be: Who's Malvina? That would be Malvina Reynolds,
the 20th century blues and folk singer, best known for the song
"Little Boxes." Following in her pioneering footsteps are The
Malvinas, the folk trio we'll host next Friday, September 8. Mary
Melena is set to open the show, which is a benefit for Austin SafePlace.

We had a wonderful show on August 18 with Albert & Gage and George
Ensle, and we wish more of you had joined us for such fine music.
There's another great opportunity coming up one week from tonight.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 8, at the Live Oak UU
Church in Northwest Austin/Cedar Park. The music starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and available in advance on our Web site, at
www.liveoakuu.org/coffee/tickets.html.

We truly hope to see you there! Please come out and support the
coffeehouse!
