In case the word hasn't got round, Fretwork is 20 years old this summer.
Well, more accurately, June 1986 was the date of its first major public
concert, given in the Wigmore Hall, and on Sunday June 25th at 4pm Fretwork
is giving a 20th anniversary concert in the same hall. The group will be
joined by Michael Chance, countertenor, who has worked consistently with the
group since its first years, and a few other surprise guests. We'd be really
glad if you could come and help us celebrate.

Here's the programme.

J. S. Bach: Pièce d'Orgue

Orlando Gibbons: Pavan & Galliard in 6 parts

William Lawes: Consort Sett a6 in F major

William Byrd: Rejoice unto the Lord

Alexander Goehr: Two Shakespeare sonnets and a fantasia

Alfonso Ferrabosco: In Nomine Fantasy in 6 parts

I N T E R V A L

Ludwig Sennfl: Ave rosa sine spinis

Alexander Agricola: Fortuna
Fabrice Fitch: Fortuna
Sennfl: Fortuna
Heinrich Isaac: O decus ecclesiae

John Jenkins: In Nomine in 6 parts

Thomas Morley: O Grief, e'en on the bud

Henry Purcell: Fantasy in G major No.11
In Nomine in 7 parts

best wishes from all in Fretwork
