Come and rattle the timbers of this exact replica of Drake's ship by
dancing to Tudor tunes played by Princes in the Tower, singing along
to Tudor rounds and Baroque choruses, and drinking to the sounds of
recorder consorts...

all TOMORROW NIGHT at the Golden Hinde [Friday 14th. August], moored
at Pickford's Wharf near Clink Street, London SE1 9DG [10 minutes'
walk from London Bridge station and within sight of Southwark
Cathedral].

Entry costs £5 and advance booking is recommended if possible -
contact details are available through the website: www.goldenhinde.com

The schedule will be flexible, but will run approximately as follows:

6.30 ship opens

7 - 7.30 Princes in the Tower play on the deck

7.45 - 8.30 MASSED CONSORT PLAYING - participants welcome! Some of my
students will play consort music by Holborne and his contemporaries;
anyone else is welcome to join in if they know the repertoire and
bring a recorder and a music stand.

8.30 - 8.45 Louise and Alfie will sing operatic songs on a naval theme
and lead everyone in singing rounds.

8.45 - 9.15 open mic session for anyone who wants to sing or play
something Tudor or based around the sea

9.30 - 10 Princes in the Tower will provide more music for dancing,
listening or dreaming!

10 ship shuts.
