The next season of early music concerts in Kingston starts next week
[Thursday 29th. October] with a concert of music for Recorder or Flute
and Harpsichord by Handel and Purcell. This will start at 7.30pm in
the Lovekyn Chapel, Kingston Grammar School [opposite main school
building], London Road, Kingston. Tickets will cost £9 and £7 on the
door, and refreshments will be available.
Future concerts this side of Christmas include music from the court of
Henry VIII and his father [Tuesday 17th. Novemberat The Rose Theatre
in Kingston Marketplace; Thursday 3rd. December]; and English Medieval
and folk music [Thursday 19th. November],
Events elsewhere include open family workshops in Aztec music at the
British Museum on 27th. and 28th. October and Sunday 1st. November ;
Elizabethan music and dancing on Saturday 1st. November in central
London; and Mexican music and poetry at the BM on 27th. November;
