Collins 'open' to Genesis reunion
Singer Phil Collins says he is willing to reunite his old band
Genesis, seven years after they split up.
Collins, 54, said he is "open" to the idea of drumming and letting
Peter Gabriel take over vocal duties if the original line-up were to
reform.
"If it happens, I'll be there," said Collins, who took over singing
with the band when Gabriel left in 1975.
Collins, who is on his solo First Final Farewell Tour, plans to stop
touring to spend more time with his family.
He added: "I'm open for it. I'm happy to sit behind the drums and
let Peter be the singer.
"If it doesn't happen, it would just be because there are too many
things in the way."
Genesis formed in the late 1960s and were internationally successful
for more than 30 years before the group called it a day in 1998
after a series of line-up changes.
