I went out and got myself a spiral radial fracture on Friday evening.
This means the show on February 5th will not include the LOUSY BUMS.
This lousy bum is bummed. My disappointment is somewhat ameliorated by
that fact that at least SLA are still gonna do it. I am also looking
forward to seeing My Merry Malady and (of focken course) LYME REGIS.
If anyone knows of another band who might want to join the bill,
please track down Ed Stoner at the Blue Lamp.
Yep. That's a Saturday!

The lineup is tentatively set. Headliners:
SONIC LOVE AFFAIR
LOUSY BUMS
LYME REGIS
MY MERRY MALADY
I do not know the cover, but it'll be worth it. Showtime is 10pm.
Blue Lamp is at Alhambra and N. You can't miss it. Be there, dummies.
Not only will the February 5th show at the Blue Lamp feature a LOUSY
BUMS performance, but SONIC LOVE AFFAIR is gonna play their first show
in Sacramento in EIGHT MONTHS. I for one am very excited!
Dave has put together a cd featuring eight classic songs recorded by
Jef Melendez. Go to lousybums.com and contact Dave about getting your
very own copy!
The LOUSY BUMS are slated to play at the BLUE LAMP on Saturday,
February 5th. We are hoping that MUNIA and KNOCK KNOCK will join us.
The BLUE LAMP is located at Alhambra and N Streets. Some older
perverts may recall that is was once CLUB 400. The poles and other
gynacological evidence have been removed, but the place is still kinda
creepy. Hope to see you all there. More details will be posted here
and elsewhere as we learn more.

Hey, like I said I was out of town and
couldn't check my email, man! Cut me some slack! Our bass player just quit
today, but was almost immediately replaced by Jef Melendez. But anyway,
I'm down for it, and I think Jef will be on his bass playing feet pretty
fast.

[lousybumsed] about that
show on Saturday, December 4th...
Spread the word. It's not gonna happen.
Maybe the we, the excellent Lousy Bums, will be able to set a show up
at the Press Club on a Sunday. I know Dave is gonna be in the land of
the rising sun at the end of December, so we have to move quickly.
Chris, is Munia up for this? If I try to set it up, am I gonna be
waiting for years to hear back from you?

Well, Ms Lewis, I almost didn't reply, since your question is hidden
in the original message. You'll note that stinky pants Olson says the
show won't happen. But, in case you want to go over to Alex's anyway,
or have magazines and pizzas and whatnot sent over there, I think the
zigact address is 2028 Castro. It's off 21st just south of Broadway.

Hey Ed, sorry about the no-call back,
I was in Phoenix for a week. Anyway, like I told ya last night, the show
is a no-go.

Since you re-fucking-fuse to call me back, I will write to you this
way. The Bums are totally ready to do the show. Please post all of the
details at the lousy bums group. I doubt the Dahlias can do it. Still,
let's do it anyway. Okay?
Hey Ed. How would the Lousy Bums like
to play an early show at Alex's on December 4th with us? We're trying to
get other bands too, but it's still congealing. So far I've talked to the
Foureyes, RTL, Duchess of Saigon and the Black Dhalias. There's also a
possibility of a band from Seattle playing called the Mysteries or something
like that.
Also, it's going to be a benefit show
for Munia, because Suresh and I got our amps, mics, and some other equipment
stolen out of our cars. I think we're gonna charge $2 per head, and the
more bands the merrier, we just need to be all done by like 8pm, because
we don't want to compete with other big shows going on that weekend.

We are proud to announce that LOUSY BUMS will be joined by the
SHENANIGOATS. After asking tons of bands to join us and hearing "no"
so many times it sounded like a nickname, we got them and some band
whose name remains a mystery at this moment.
The SHENANIGOATS were on the bill of our VERY FIRST SHOW at this
hellhole known as moods, which is probably going under, which is
definitely just as well. Back then we called ourselves PRAT FALLS,
which didn't last long.
Once again, the specs: Sunday, September 12th, 3PM at the Press Club.
Hope to see you all there.
