If you get a parallel PCI card, you will never be able to use it
with the transferer. Unless you use win98. Or win ME.. winxp will not allow
you to assign it the resources required to run the transferer software.

So it essentially works on a different
computer, so I think my problem
is in my integrated components. Anyway, I now get an indecipherable
message that mentions the smart card and gives the option of 'retry'
or 'cancel.' It won't write, but it will read. Is this just a port
configuration issue?
Once I get a parallel PCI card for my own computer, I'm sure I'll be
able to remedy any other problems.
