The MC2 is a low voltage device that uses 9V power. So either you can
power it with a 9V battery, or you can use a "wall wart" that can give
you 9V. I don't know about Britain, but they should be available
"everywhere".
The MC2 doesn't have it's own power converter, so that's totally up to
the person building it.

I think the pre-built ones comes with a jack for connecting a standard battery eliminator (it's called that in sweden, is it the same in the uk?). So, no 9V...
