Hi all!

Little history....

I bought a nice new Solid black vistalite kit when I was in high
school in '76 and really loved them. They had good punch, good sound
and feel to them not to mention looked cool! I sold them about 18
years ago when I joined a church (that didn't accept drums, stupid
me). I have kicked myself in the butt ever since.
Well, I found a kit on craigslist of same color and in better
condition for a really good price. Yes Jimmy, there is a God! I am
making it into my own playable set, not worrying about its value as
its
priceless to me! Finally played it live for the first time last week
and it rocks! No padding for the bass drum as it booms and the toms
sound great!
I am just using a small set for now, 22" bass, 13" ride tom (on a
seperate stand with Pearl ISS) and a 16" floor tom. I have no
matching snare but have a killer Pearl Ian Paice Signature model (6
1/2" x 14") that works well.
The toms I have are a 10" (modified to a classic tom) 12", 13", & 16"
all classic toms. I have an extra 16" concert tom that was also
modified to a classic, however I am going to drill some holes tohave
legs mounted on it.

Anyway, nice to see others with different set ups & styles of
kits.Would love to get feedback if you have any to give...

I have posted a few pics under Black Beauty.
