Awwwe...thank you guys so much...! By telling me
all this stuff about LBC you have really taken me
back to high school when I hung with these guys on a
daily basis! I wish I still lived close enough to hang
to this day. I remember when they first started and
wrote that Rasta Pasta song...I also remember where the
"please don't fight the chung" thing came was being said
- didn't know they made it into a song!!! There is
a story behind that phrase...*laughs*
Thanks
again!
Schelley
Wow! Smagers...haven't heard of that place for a
long time. I used to go there for some bands that I
listened to in the area: Underfoot, Bomb Squadron, Pepsi
Generation...etc. (Not sure if all of them had played there but I
know that I had seen them at various local spots) I
don't know if they have an album released yet, but if
they do, the best way to get one is at an actual show!
Hope that helped!!
Schelley
Max21483:
I am not sure which one (I think it
is Razz as they refer to him) that has been a long
time friend from high school that had also done art
work for comics. Lemon was mentioning both his
presence in the band and also the show at the Croc when I
was home for my mom's bday... The other guy I am
completely unsure of...
Schelley
first off I think that Captain Tough song is
called "Icy Caverns" or something not "I-C-Tea"...as far
as albums go, about a year or two ago they had an
E.P. floating around called "Please Dont Fight the
Chung" it was a live album I think and not many copies
were made but some of them made it onto Napster I
belive it had versions of their songs "Emanon" "Rasta
Pasta" "Trust" "I-C-Tea" "One Crazy Circus" and a hidden
track called (I think) "Good Times"...it's this really
silly long jam type song it's pretty odd ..really cool
but weird....I think that one is a studio
recording....also around the same time the guitarist/keyboardist
had a solo CD called Zietgiest:"5 Day Insomnia" some
of the songs you can select to listen to while
you're navigating their website (bottom left corner of
the screen theirs a pop up window...maybe I'm the
last to find this cause I've been on the site like 5
times and just found it yesterday).. are from his
CD...other than that I think they have a maxi single out
with the song on the "Gimmie the Medicine" cd and a
studio version of "One Crazy Circus" plus like two
remixs of "Myself Underneath" and the live version of
"Emanon" from their E.P.....I haven't heard it personally
so I can't really speak to well on it....but I'm
sure "Circus" and "Myself" are the same versions on
their webpage....hope that helped....hey we should all
meet up at Hiesters or something...bring Tea and get
rowdy :) what do you guys say?
Hey ecw, The only thing I know that comes close
to what you asked is that they used to play with a
band named Captain Clog...they were a Nirvana-ish
sounding band that I'm pretty sure aren't together
anymore. I used to go to school with the singer (Mike),and
that's how I first saw LBC. It was at a dinner theatre
in Mt. Penn called Smagers. Now I have a
question....WHERE THE FUCK CAN I FIND A LUMPY ALBUMN???
yeah I was kind of wondering about the other two
guys. who are they? I've gone to a couple of their
shows (which always rock by the way :) ) and I've
talked to the triplets once or twice and the drummer
once but the other bass player (Razz?) seems to keep
to himself and/or dissappears and the conga player
(Tom?) seems pretty shy. anyone have any info on these
guys? I guess their not just hired hands since their on
the website an all but who are they?by the way I got
a flyer at their Silo show that said they were
playing up in Allentown Aug.16th at the Crocidile Rock
with the Red Elvises!! How cool is that!? bye!
I am 99.9% sure that none of them were known as
Captain Tough... Lemon has been known as that for about
8+ years when he bleached his hair...T-Bone is
usually called Tony...and Aljax is usually referred to as
Allen or Al. Also, Dee-Jay has always been known as DJ
and most people dont know his real first name...the
reason I am not 100% sure is the fact that I am not
familiar with the other two band members...when they first
started out they had Lemon, T-Bone, Aljax, Dee-Jay, and
this guy Chris who played the bass too (if memory
serves me correctly). Anyway...to answer your question
more simply...nope.
Do any of you know if anyone in LBC used to be known as Captian Tough? The
reason i ask is, i found an MP3 called icy tea by some guy named captian tough.
It was all home movies type of thing...I don't
have any copies (I wonder if they kept them)... But I
do remember the one night we broke DJ's mom's video
camera and were like "shit"! We didn't make movies for a
little after that. Another thing we did for fun was have
theme parties - 70's was the one that I can recall the
best but there were many more. Oh, feel free to call
me Schelley, Mouse, or Ryan - all nick names my
friends (including the members of the band) have used
over the years.
Yes, Allen, Anthony, and Andrew (Aljax, T-Bone..i
think is his nickname, and Lemon respectively) are in
fact triplet brothers. They want their music to sell
the records not that fact. The rest of the members of
the band are not related. Quick fact though, there
are 4 other Jackson brothers to these three and in
those four there is a set of twins! Hope that helped.
Do any of you know for sure if three of the band
members are in fact triplets? Someone told me the other
day....Why don't they let people know this?! I mean, the
only other famous musical triplets are those three old
ladies that played acoustic guitars on saturday morning
kids shows back when the Smurfs were cool.
One
more thing, are ALL the band members brothers? Are we
looking at the next Jackson 5 or Partridge family,( I'm
not saying the same sound, None of 'em can touch
LBC!) LUMPY KICKS ASS!
First thing's first...these dancing girls...were
they audience members, the band's girlfriends, or none
of the above? Just curious... Anyway "where do they
come up with this shit"...in their heads. I have known
most of them since 9th grade (been about 8 years) and
we had never had a lack of things to do b/c we would
find something to occupy our time. One such thing was
making our own B movies with "english dubbed over". The
actors wouldn't talk and the people behind the scenes
would talk - no script though - so it would get
interesting if not stupid at some times *laughs* It was
something to do when you didn't have cable! ~D~
I was at the Show at the Silo, Lumpy never lets
me down! They were awesome! Dancing girls, a half
naked dancing guy! where do they come up with this
shit! Does anyone know when they're playing locally
again? Let me know...
LBC will be featured on the CD "Gimme the Medicine" witch will have local bands
on it..the release date is July 10th...The NEW LBC website is up check it out
