We would like to remind you of this upcoming event.
LOAG plays Galapagos on Wed Aug 28th at 12midnight.
Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2002
Time: 11:45PM - 12:45AM EDT (GMT-04:00)
Lungs of a Giant takes the stage, the curtain, the cake, and the
whole kit 'n' caboodle at the witching hour at Galapagos in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Earlier than LOAG you can see (on that same $5 you handed the
guy at the door):
The Styrenes. They'll do two sets: one at 8pm and another at
9pm. They're related to Pere Ubu, and thus LOAG climbs mightily
into the royal lap of the Indie Rock Family Tree.
After the Styrenes, but before LOAG, be sure to witness The Blam
at 11pm. Hopefully they know Swell Maps songs. The Blam are
from Brooklyn, and sound very pleasant over the email.
And then the patient and insomniac get Lungs of a Giant at 12am.
Full-on rock power set, shoveled out for the crowds efficiently
with the fierce forearms that lake-swimming helped us get.
Makes sense somewhere.
Maybe on my new "Black Art" mousepad. Where Paul's Chicken
Souvlaki Tsaziki Sauce grows and reproduces into legion.
Galapagos: 70 N. 6th Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
