LOAG at 91 Meserole Workspace on May 20 at 9pm for art + rock!
Saturday May 20, 2006 9:00 pm
- 10:00 pm
This event does not repeat.
Event Location: 91 Meserole Street, Brooklyn, NY
Notes:
LOAG likes art. So do you, I'm sure. So how about you come to 91 Meserole Street in Brooklyn on Saturday, May 20th between 6pm and 9pm to see sculpture art done by 5 different artist types? Five different artists probably means there'll be a thunderdome-like battle royale for us to watch before...
9pm is Lungs of a Giant-time! We promise to play that song you love so much. The sweet pirate shanty lullaby.
Thursday April 13, 2006 8:00 pm
- 9:00 pm
This event does not repeat.
Event Location: Lucky Cat, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Notes:
What's that, Lucky Cat?
Paul has designed a setlist that will melt your socks? Yes, this is true.
Lucky Cat is at 245 Grand Street (between Driggs & Roebling).
LOAG goes on sharp at 8pm. $8 to get in, but then you get to enjoy our raucous sounds knowing that you're contributing financially to our June recording plan. And in that way, you're helping everybody hear a crackin' good LOAG song on the nearest radio.
Meanwhile, watch/hear a new song by The Fall: http://youtube.com/watch?v=We_mND4HpTg

Showtime is 8pm sharpish.
Probably we'll ask for a few bucks at the door.
No biggie.
Magnetic Field is at 97 Atlantic Ave (between Henry and Hicks) right

Friendly, lovely, warm place where you will be loved.

Come! Come! Come! Bring money cuz these kids with the classy dive locale like to feel valuable about all their wasted nights sitting at doorways giving mean looks to tourists wearing reindeer sweaters.

LOAG goes all campus-trekking at Drew U on Sat., Nov 19th
Date: Saturday, November 19, 2005
Time: 8:00PM - 11:00PM EST (GMT-05:00)
Lungs of a Giant
cracks a whip at the rock n roll machine
in
Drew University, NJ.
That's in Madison, NJ.
Due west of Newark by no more than 20 minutes. It's up the hill
basically, from
Newark. But up around the beautiful Adriondacks. These fall
colors in the trees
are way happening. Peaking, in fact!
November 19th, which is this Saturday.
In a coffeehouse called The Other End,
with two NJ bands:
Scream! Hello
and
Tonight, We Dance.
--Hold on.
[What's that? ... A what? ... Oh, yeah, I'll tell them.]
They rock a decent rock.
It'll be an evening show, but not forever late.
[...]
Oh, and I'm told there are candied apples and pumpkin ale just
out of reach past
every merchant's counter.

(Paul's brother, Graham, a certified genius, will be performing this
Sunday, October 23rd, at Knitting Factory's Main Stage at 8pm sharp!)
(Paul will be backing him up as an electrifying part of Miami Ice
Machine!)
(And their show is part of a bigger Charity Show for WWOZ 90.7fm New
Orleans!)
(That's the community radio station that was destroyed by that damn
Hurricane Katrina you're so tired hearing about!)
(Other bands include: Behold... The Arctopus, Child Abuse, Hexa, and
the Illegible DJ Caps!)

LOAG hits the big time: CMJ Festival! Wed, Sept 14th @ 6:30pm @
Ace of Clubs!
Date: Wednesday, September 14, 2005
Time: 6:30PM - 7:45PM EDT (GMT-04:00)
Hear ye, hear ye!
Lungs of a Giant have finally scored a slot in the annual CMJ
Festival in NYC!
Just in time for our super-charged, mega-blast (but abbreviated
to 30 minutes for maximum power) setlist!
We're playing at 6:30pm (early show! bring the kids!) at Ace of
Clubs, which used to be Acme Underground, but that name was too
ironic and the NYC Dept of Irony fined them into bankruptcy. So
there you have it.
9 Great Jones Street, between Broadway and Lafayette. South
side of the street. Should be below what used to be, and might
still be, a cajun restaurant.
$10 at the door, or flash your CMJ badge-thingee and be all "I'm
with the press!"
Here's the list of bands playing that same night after us.
6:30 Lungs Of A Giant
8:00 SNMNMNM
9:00 Broadfield Marchers
10:00 Taylor Hollingsworth
11:00 K.Paine
Come along! You'll get to hang out with all the new college
students in town celebrating the art of slacking on classes
early enough in the semester so that it won't really affect your
grades by December...
