The Mr. Roberts jam happens on Wednesdays starting
around,.....usually 10:30-ish or so. As long as there's a drummer in
town willing and able to haul their drumset out there.

The Concourse is also still going on Wednesdays, but they pushed it
back to 9:00. I don't see that one going away anytime soon.

Some more jams.
I haven't been getting out much. They still have the jazz jam
Wednesday nights at the "Concourse" downtown? Or we only messin' with
blues here ?
For a jazz jam, they DO (did?) welcome the blues as well.
Keep it hot where it's cool,

Hi Folks,

Love what you got going here. Maurice, I saw the photos you took at
Whitneys....Amazing! I wish we made enough to hire you to take some
like that at our gigs!

I play keys for Iggy Rae Vicious in Rat Sass and invite anyone without

Hey all not sure if everybody knows but Wonders Pub over here on the
eastside has been sold. It's now called Alkemy and they are having a
bunch of live music and plan on having both a Bluegrass and Blues Jam
they've just remodelled and plan on having all the same microbrews and
food, Just changing the decor. Not sure who to contact but pretty sure
the owners are at the Bar. Also The owner of Murphy's owns two other
bars(Becks,The Locker Room) and they are starting to book a some music
for spring/summer and they pay pretty decent if you can pull.Hopefully
we don't scare him off by bum rushing the clubs with CD's!.. Time to
make the donuts see ya soon

Hi Maurice,

The main goal I see is supporting the local Blues
scene - bands and players, shows, jams, venues,
everything. Adding restrictions based on personal
issues doesn't work for the Blues. The Blues is about
sharing the human condition, not shutting folks out.

The MBS website has a pretty complete list of weekly
jams and shows on our Calendar/Weekly page. I just
added the Crashers show at Ludlow's yesterday. It's
quite a challenge keeping the list up-to-date. Any
news, corrections, comments, etc. you might hear about
would be much appreciated.

BTW - I also added this forum to the Forum list on the
MBS Blues Sites page.

Sharin' the Blues,
Tim

Hi Maurice,

I like the idea keeping the forum open. The Blues struggles enough
without squabbles setting the scene. I'll keep track of news here
for the Madison Blues Society for posting on our website or for
whoever could use a heads-up. Likewise, I'll post any news I get
appropriate for Blues Folks.

I'm always looking for work... things have been pretty slow lately...

John.

P.S.  Right on Maurice... I'm so sick of Dan being a baby about this whole J.T.'s thing... he's got to move on and take the high road...  Unfortunatly, I can't see too many people making the effort to jump ship to this board...

couple gig's with Barb Cheron. He's up for jammin.Just a start to get
something going.

Let's keep it mellow and informative. It's about the music, OK? B-)
