What wonderful timing. I was considering un-subscribing from
this group
because of the lack of activity.
Anyone from this group from the east coast? If so, did any of you
guys catch
the Three Terrors @ the Bowery Ballroom? That's been my only
opportunity to
catch Stephin perform live, and it was quite the experience. It
was an all
covers, "theme" show (the theme being drugs). Some of the
highlights from
the show included Don Ho's Tiny Bubbles, a song written for
Nancy Reagan by
LaToya Jackson during the just say no campaign, and Puff the
Magic Dragon
sung in German! For the encore, everyone joined in and sang
"99 bottles of
beer on the wall" while Stephin and co. passed out
complimentary cups of
beer to the audience. That was hilarious.
Next up for Stephin is the Orphan of Zhao @ Lincoln Center this
July. He's
composing the music for this Chinese opera. Should be
interesting....

....and as far as my favorite song from 69 Love Songs, well that
depends on
the day and the mood. Lately, it's been "I don't want to get over
you" and
"Busby Berkley Dreams".
