I'm also very charmed by "I've Got New York" on Hyacinths and
Thistles, sung by Melanie--famous for "I've got a Brand New Pair of
Roller Skates." Quite poignant.

Dude, I was there! It was really fun for me as I didn't yet know
all of their songs, and "Death Opened a Boutique" and "I'm Lonely
and I Love It" were completely knew to me. It was wonderful to look
around everyone just listening so hard and having such a great time,
laughing in all the right places (in that special, rueful, "it's sad
but it's wonderful" way, of course).

All good as well. It's so hard to pick a favorite!
"I Don't Want to Get Over You" is such a lyrical classic.
How about Torn Green Velvet Eyes? How about Save a Secret for the
Moon?
