All members of the Yahoo! Mahler Group are kindly requested to periodically
check their mailboxes and the status of their accounts.
We constantly have a number of members bounced (automatically, by
the Yahoo! robot) because of delivery failure. This occurs almost invariably
with members who use free accounts (yahoo, hotmail etc.) and in the largest
majority of cases the bounced members have a yahoo email address.
In some cases the mail account seems to have been deactivated or discontinued,
but in other cases it is simply a "mailbox full" error. Once you have been
bounced, you will not receive messages until your subscription is reactivated.
This reactivation is NOT automatic (In other words, even you clean up your
mailbox, your subscription is still suspended). The moderators have to
periodically check the list of bouncing members, send out reactivation requests,
and only when a positive
response arrives is your subscription reactivated.
We are spending a number of hours in these administrative trivia, sending
reactivation requests which are bounced back too, and the burden is becoming
heavier. Please, be so kind to keep your mailbox at a safety level (something
like "80% full" is NOT safe!). If you realize your account was over quota,
please write to
mahler-owner@yahoogroups.com to inform us that the problem has
been fixed. After the 10th bouncing of a reactivation request, a member will be
removed from the group without further notice.
