de rock pop más influyentes a nivel internacional, Maná estarán de
regreso el próximo 22 de agosto, día en que saldrá a la venta en más
de 40 países su novena producción discográfica titulada Amar es
Combatir.

En un comunicado la disquera de Maná, Warner Music, detalló que el
primer sencillo del nuevo álbum de estudio del grupo formado en
Guadalajara será Labios Compartidos, el cual será estrenado el 10 de
junio próximo.
El disco que fue producido por Maná cuenta con la colaboración
especial del ingeniero de grabación Thom Russo (quien ha trabajado
al lado de estrellas como Audioslave, Macy Gray, Michael Jackson y
Eric Clapton) y la música, grabada en los estudios The Hit Factory
Criteria, en donde han grabado estrellas como Bob Marley y donde se
realizó el clásico Hotel California, de The Eagles.
En el nuevo álbum de estudio de la banda, que integran Fher Olvera,
Sergio Vallín, Juan Calleros y Alex González, habrá un dueto con
Juan Luis Guerra.
Actualmente, el grupo se encuentra en Miami, donde alostan los
preparativos de la gira que promocionara su nuevo Amar es Combatir.
"Es un momento de cambio, y este disco será un evento distinto"
Este año Maná volverá al mercado discográfico después de cuatro
años, con un disco que se llamará Amar es combatir. Los músicos ya
filmaron el video del primer corte, y cuentan cómo será su nuevo
trabajo
"Al inicio de la producción de este álbum replanteamos la idea de
que era un momento de cambio y nos dijimos que era necesario que
este disco sea un evento fuera de lo común, porque Maná es una banda
muy importante", dijo Fher Olvera, cantante de Maná. Recién
terminaban de grabar el video musical de Labios Compartidos, primer
corte de Amar es combatir, el disco que acaban de grabar y con el
que volverán al mercado después de cuatro años.
Olvera señaló que el disco sorprenderá a sus seguidores, ya que es
un trabajo en el que se encontrarán muchas sorpresas, como un dúo
con el dominicano Juan Luis Guerra. "De las variedades que tiene el
disco a mí me gustó mucho el tema Bendita tu luz, una bachata que,
cuando nos la enseñó Sergio Vallín (guitarra y coros) dijimos ojalá
que la cantara Juan Luis Guerra, y aunque él casi no hace duetos,
escuchó el tema y aceptó", contó. Añadió que en este disco sus
seguidores encontrarán desde rock, hasta cumbia, cha cha chá,
reggae, salsa y muchos ritmos más.
Los músicos dijeron que las nuevas canciones no tienen contenido
político, pero sí que tienen un trasfondo social, como la canción
Combatiente. El líder de Maná agregó que la grabación de esta
producción se dio de manera diferente y estuvo influenciada por el
hecho de que lo grabaron en un estudio con vista al mar de Miami, en
Estados Unidos. El disco anterior de Maná había sido Revolución de
amor, salido en 2002. Por su parte, el baterista Alex González
comentó que Maná iniciará una gira promocional de cuatro meses por
Norte, Centro, Sudamérica y Europa, el mismo día en que salga al
mercado su último disco. Adicionalmente, a finales de enero del 2007
la banda mexicana se embarcará en una gira de conciertos de dos años
que la llevará por los cuarenta países en donde su disco será
presentado simultáneamente el próximo 22 de agosto. Sobre los temas
del disco, González dijo que seleccionaron 13 entre 60 canciones que
habían compuesto. "Las 13 canciones que van a escuchar en este disco
son las que sentíamos que representaban a la banda en este momento.
No pensamos si va a vender o no. Más bien es la necesidad de crear
cosas nuevas", aseguró.
