For Christmas my dad gave me what I have been wanting so badly for the last few years, a DVD RECORDER/PLAYER!!!!! Unfortunately, the one he gave me didn't work, I couldn't get the setup pages to show up on screen, so I had to wait until yesterday afternoon when he and I could get to Sears and replace it and IT WORKS! I am now undertaking the daunting task of transferring my 79 1/2 Osmond Video tapes, 20 Sawyer Brown tapes (plus #21 with just their recent appearance on Jay Leno), and my John Cusack and Dean Cain tv interview and movies I don't own on DVD yet. What a mess!!!! I'm trying to make "theme" DVD's (like Osmond tv bios from VH-1, Lifetime, E!, etc.: Osmond Family Reunions on the current Donny and Marie talk show; Marie's sitcom "Maybe This Time" with Betty White, Donny's VH-1 talk show "Here's Donny"; "Donny and Marie" talk show 2 seasons 1998-2000, Donny hosting "Pyramid" (2 seasons from 2002-2004); Donny's 4 series travel series on the Travel network; Marie on QVC, Marie's CMN telethons, D&M hosting 2 Miss America Pageants, them on talk shows, Jimmy on the tv show "Fame"; Donny, Marie, and Jimmy on "Love Boat" seperately, etc). This will certainly take me A LONG TIME! Wish I could have started Christmas Eve if only the first unit worked! ARGGGGGGGG!Replacing all the VHS tapes with DVD's will save soooo much room which I've completely filled with VHS tapes. Plus, once Video Players are hard to find, I won't be able to watch the tapes anyway.Leann
