Welcome to a new forum and meeting place dedicated to rock & roll's
greatest performer, Mark Farner. It is the intention of the founder of
this forum to schedule chats on a regular basis and hopefully provide
a surprise guest every now and then. Enjoy your stay!

Hey Steve,
Glad you made it! We're looking pretty good though!

No, not the Ricardo Ricky. Hey guys, does anyone know what happened
to Rick Farner? I heard that he is no longer touring with Mark. Does
anyone have the scoup? We liked Rick. He always enjoyed horsing
around with the kids, and always took time to visit with us at the
concerts. When we saw Mark in Suffolk in 2000, Mark and Dennis
Bellinger gave Eric their guitar picks, and when Rick heard about it,
he tracked Eric down and gave him his too!!! Of course they are all
framed and on the wall now! I hope that Rick is ok, and will be back
with the band soon. If anyone knows what his status is, let me know.
Thanks guys.
Steve
Mark, if you're out there reading this, get your hiney back over this
way soon! (Virginia) We miss you Dude!!!!!! Eric and Sally need to
see their long, lost, adopted Uncle!!!!!!

And......while your at it Mark, get on down to North Carolina! Me
and my hubby Mark, and of course, Calvin and Cindy are waiting on you
down here too! It's been a long time since May 19, 2000 at Myrtle
Beach!
I wonder what did happen to Ricky Farner...he was extra nice to us at
the Myrtle Beach show.
Waiting on a Farner Fix in NC,
Lisa

I'm also grateful to see so many old friends join us here. Thanks
guys, it's great to know you're with us.

Anyone feel like chatting tonight? I'll be in the chatroom here at
9:00est. If for some reason Yahoo's chat utility isn't working (as has
been the case in recent weeks) we can go to the chatroom at the
Shielded Wolf Site. I look forward to visiting with you tonight.
Randy
We may have touched on this in the recent past. But, I was over at
Marks website checking out tour dates for the MFB and noticed the
highlighted entry for Rock And Roll Fantasy Camps for the dates of
11/11/01 thru 11/17/02. I was wondering what this was actually. I tried to
click on it but it was no doubt not a hyperlink.
Anybody?

I'll see everyone here tonight at 9:00! Hope everyone can make it!
Lisa
Hi all,
For those that are interested in attending tonight's chat, we will
have an alternate location in case Yahoo isn't cooperating. The
alternate chatroom is located at:
http://www.stormpages.com/shieldedwolf/chat.html
Again, we'll try Yahoo first. If that's not working properly please
try the alternate. We'll begin at 9:00 est (8:00 central). I look
forward to visiting with you.

Just a word to say that I am proud to be here and help to support
brother Mark and further his career. I miss all of you guys a BUNCH!!
I will TRY to hand around and chat this evening, but I have to go to
work here before too awful long.
I will check in a couple of times a week.
Miss y'all!

Finally got through to join. What's happening? Any new videos or audio
recordings from Mark's shows? Hope everyone is well.Any news on the
format of the Parsons,Bruce,Rundgren,Farner shows that are coming up?
Good to be here,Larry...up each mornin,at five o'clock, seems like the
noonday sun ain't ever gonna stop
Hey Larry, glad you could make it! For those of you who haven't had
the opportunity to get to know Larry, he is as good a guy as you could
ever hope to meet and a HUGE fan of the original Grand Funk Railroad.
In answer to your questions, Larry, we're still waiting on further
updates on the 4 disc anthology. And I'm hoping Chris5775 gets a
chance to visit with Mark and let us know what to expect at the Abbey
Road shows. Hopefully we'll know more in the coming weeks.
Railroad Randy
Thanks for the kind words Randy.Yes I have been a serious FUNK fan since 1969
and since Mark,Don,and Mel are close to the same age as I am,I feel like I've
almost grown-up with them.Their music has had a profound influence on my life
and rarely a day goes by that I don't play one of their albums.I met Mark after
a show in Dallas in 99 and Mel and Don after a nGFR show in Tunica in 2000.All
three are people who respect you and show their concern for us as fans and
appreciate our loyalty. As we all know things aren't the same as the 3
amigos, although the nGFR is very good, they are different, and not the real Grand
Funk.As always if anyone wants to discuss past and present,I'm ready,Larry

Well done friends! I know that you are both happy to finally
introduce your website. I know it has been a labor of love for both
of you. Your hard work has paid off! Great job.

Hey Little One,
You and Rick did a great job on the Tribute Site and it came up
beautifully. So its definite now, I am about to learn Spanish.
All our love to both of you.

Hi folks, sorry I've not been at chat night, nor have I had time to
post in the past several days. I'm back working three jobs for the
time being, and busy as a one armed paper hanger!
I see that our membership is rising quickly. I'll be glad to see us
back up in the 100's like we previously were!
Hope everyone is doing well, and we see some concert reviews from
those of you who have a Mark Farner concert close to you.
Steve
Good Morning to all our Farner Friends! We are almost ready to head
out on our much needed vacation. We wanted to take a few minutes to
check in and let you all know that we will be out of touch for a few
days, but not long!
Maybe, just maybe, when I get back there will be more show
dates.....and one near me! Can't blame a girl for dreaming!
Take care everyone, we'll talk with you all next Saturday!
Hugs,
Lisa
I got tickets to the Abbey Road show at Hampton Beach yesterday,
fifth row. I originally thought they were center, but hey, we're
there, we'll have a great view of the stage, and that's all that
matters at this point.
A warm Welcome Aboard to friends old and new. It's good to have you
all here, and it's also good to see that our numbers are still
growing.
Great to see so many dates posted for Mark this summer. No matter if
he's a part of the Walk Down Abbey Road or solo, it will be good to
see our brother again.
Take care and have a good night.
Debbie in a windswept NH.
Gosh, I feel so starved for info on the tours, reviews and such. I
miss the old days, and all of you guys as well. I am glad that you are
all carrying all so swimmingly. Has ANYONE heard from Lisuk?
