Re: The Lost Artifacts Of An American Poet - PART II

Thanks for the heads up, David. Very good news that the folks at
Larry Norman are releasing this!!!! Now if only they would release CD
version of Ap.Melody. I heard here once that they never re-released
it onto CD because their masters were not good enough quality to
digitize. I wouldn't even care if they made it from a vinyl transfer;
if they could make a clean copy, and if they did it with quality
packaging and a few bonus tracks from the original sessions I think it
would be a hit, people that do not have access to it would have a
legal avenue to acquire it and Mark's legacy would be enhanced.

To me its not a big deal if The Lost Artifacts are low budget, for
they only hold interest for the most rabid fan, but Ap. Melody holds
such importance in mark's body of work that if it ever re-released I
would hope that they would make an attempt to do a professional job of
it. I don't think Larry's fan's would have been very happy if a
bedrock Trilogy album like "In Another Land" was re-released as a
bland cover CD-R.

I got my copy, and it sounds pretty good, except the CD was defective, with some kind of tone interrupting the music on every song. So I emailed Solid Rock and...

I also had the same problem with the disc I received from Solid Rock. Sounds like they may have a manufacturing issue....
