People used to say that to me all the time too...and you know, not one
of them had ever seen her perform or really listened to her music, they
were like so many people that just see the "Dolly" on the
outside...I've never felt the need to justify it myself, but have asked
several people how many songs of Dolly's they knew and introduced them
to her music and what she has done for the entertainment business as
well as her home community. (A lot of which they had no idea) Once they
hear a song like Down From Dover (which she wrote at the age of 18) or
The Grass Is Blue...they start to realize there's more to her than big
hair and boobs. (Even if they don't want to admit it!) So, just stick
with your heart!
