Hey all you country fans! The one and only country legend George Jones
is releasing a NEW album this fall called Hits I Missed…And One I
Didn't, celebrating his 51st year as a successful recording artist.
The record started as a concept of Jones' to re-do versions of songs
that he wished he'd recorded himself, and became essentially a tribute
album by Jones to some of his favorite artists and their hits. The
second half of the title refers to Jones' new recording of his classic
tune "He Stopped Loving Her Today," which earned him his first of two
career Grammys in 1981. Another standout on the new album is his duet
with Dolly Parton of the Hank Williams Jr. track, "The Blues Man."
Even at the age of 74, George Jones' soulful voice really turns these
classics into hits all over again. Hits I Missed…And One I Didn't
comes out on September 13th, so if you're a lover of classic country
music, or a new fan looking to learn where it all started, make sure to
pick up this amazing album!
