Phoenix, AZ - Rapper/Producer/Gamer Random, aka Mega Ran is making his first journey into the mixtape market, and he brought some friends along.

TeacherRapperHero, the Random Mixtape Vol. 1 features notable up and comers 88-Keys, Mickey Factz, Naledge (Kidz in the Hall) and more, and drops on Memorial Day Weekend (Random's site www.megaran.com promises to have it up May 19).

The mixtape is a counterpart to his new Japan-Only release called Randomonium, dropping May 19 on River City Records, http://www.river-city.co.jp. The 18-track album features production by Random, DN3, K-Murdock and more,

Random is also a middle school teacher as well as hip-hop scholar and gamer, best known for the Mega Ran series, 2 fun video game themed albums featuring samples from the classic 8-Bit Mega Man video games. The albums have collectively amassed over 10,000 downloads and is officially endorsed by international gaming corporation Capcom - www.capcom.com

Mega Ran and Mega Ran 9 are available on iTunes and Amazon now.

The first leak from the mixtape, "Spread The Love," has Ran taking on downloading and filesharing from a unique perspective, that of the musician and that of the perpetrator. it is featured on Okayplayer, home site of ?uestlove of The Roots.
