It was emotional moment for everyone there I think seeing Faron
inducted into the Merseybeat Hall of fame, he has such enthusiasm and
very much has stage presence even after all these years.

I thought lee Curtis did  an excellent job there and you could see
how genuine and heartfelt his kuind words fopr Faron were, so well
done to Lee and lets not forget Allan and Dougie who put the event
together over the weekend.

I wont even mention the pa..(oops!)

Hi Dave, it's Mike from Searchin', just seen the posting about the
fundraising event that has us down confirmed as playing,
unfortunately this is not the case.We have never been formally asked
to do this and it follows that we have never confirmed.
I think your age must be catching up with you Wally if you have
recollection of talking to any of us about this(LOL).

  It is a real shame because we would have loved to have been part of
what looks like being a great event. We were fortunate to play at the
Cavern with Dale Roberts on what turned out to be his last gig and so
we are gutted that we cannot be part of this but unfortunately a
couple of the band members have other commitments and therfore at
such short notice appearing would be impossible.

Hopefully you can get in another band in our place and as always keep
us in mind for future events. As we showed just recently with the
fundraiser on behalf of Merseycats at Zoe's place we still like to do
our bit for raising money for good causes.
