For those who weren't able to attend - it was a lot of fun!  There was
over a 100 people there dancing and singing along with Michael.  When
it was time for the show to end the audience didn't want to let him
go - he had to be escorted away from the fans after a while so he
could leave.

Michael Stuart vislumbra un 2008 de mucho trabajo

San Juan.- Si el 2007 fue un año muy productivo para el salsero
puertorriqueño Michael Stuart, el 2008 se vislumbra mejor, aseguró
ayer el cantante.

"El 2007 cerró con broche de oro. Estoy muy agradecido con el año que
tuve. Hubo dos proyectos de televisión; el disco, cuyo tema 'Me
siento vivo' todavía está sonando en la radio, y por más de 20
semanas se ha mantenido en los primeros lugares no sólo en Puerto
Rico sino en muchas ciudades de Estados Unidos... no me puedo
quejar", dijo Stuart a The Associated Press.

Además tuvo una aplaudida participación en el concierto en homenaje a
Héctor Lavoe, celebrado en el coliseo Roberto Clemente.

Su producción discográfica lleva por título "Sentimiento de un
rumbero", el séptimo disco desde que se dio a conocer en 1996.
"Además, los guisos, que mucha gente decía que no nos iba a ir bien,
gracias a Dios no puedo decir lo mismo", afirmó.
El 2008 lo empezó con un proyecto no artístico, sino más bien
administrativo-comercial. Hace unos días inauguró el
restaurante "Coladas", de comida puertorriqueña, en el Hotel Holiday
Inn de Isla Verde, zona turística contigua a San Juan.

"La idea es darle la opción tanto a turistas como a los boricuas, que
siempre estamos buscando dónde ir a comer los fines de semana con la
familia. Es una opción 100% puertorriqueña. Se llama Coladas porque
ofrecemos piñas coladas de distintos sabores servidas en cocos reales
y además el ambiente será muy musical", expresó el nuevo empresario.
"Ojalá sea el primero de muchos restaurantes más", agregó el
intérprete de éxitos como "Imaginando tu amor", "Amor a primera
vista" y "Niña bella".

Además, dijo que próximamente viajará a Miami para discutir su
próximo proyecto discográfico y otro proyecto de actuación. "Muchas
cosas van a pasar este año", adelantó.

Por otro lado, Stuart aseguró que una faceta que nunca dejará de lado
es la que tiene que ver con las actividades benéficas.
El domingo estará junto a otros artistas y deportistas en
el "Celebrity BaseBowl Tournament" que organiza la Fundación Jorge
Posada para beneficio de pacientes con craneosinostosis, una
alteración en la que se produce un cierre prematuro de los huesos del
cráneo.

"Todo lo que tenga que ver con ayudar, con devolver lo que cada uno
de mis seguidores me ha dado en mi carrera, lo haré. El apoyo, el
cariño que me han dado en los más de diez años que llevo de
carrera... es lo menos que puedo hacer", sostuvo el salsero.
"Cada vez que haya una oportunidad de compartir con el público, de
cumplir el sueño de algún niño o niña, de poder saludarlos, tomarnos
fotos, lo que sea que haya que hacer para alegrarles la vida, ahí
estaré", expresó.

Dice La Gente?" It's on Telefutura, it's channel 66 here in Boston,
check your local listings for more information.

It was fun to watch him; mom alerted me that he was going to be on that

Great to hear...I kept harrassing him to tell me when he was coming to
NY again so we can have a family gathering, maybe now we can meet up
after I go see him perform. He changed his number again...I tried
calling him but its says to please check the number. So I'm waiting on
him or Tommy to provide me with the information if not I will have to
call our grandmother lol. Thank you again for the information :-)
