NEWS ON THE INXS U.S. TOUR   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #14 of 257 |

Hey everyone! Exciting news, I'm sure that you've heard that INXS is
coming back to the US!!

They are doing a 40 city Tour across the US, so they most likely
will be coming to a city near you. Jon Stevens, from the band
Noiseworks, is INXS' guest vocalist for the tour. (he's been doing
it since May 2000). A lot of Australian fans and critics have had
great things to say about him teaming up with INXS.

INXS also just released the previously unheard track "Tight". The
Mark and Brian Show on KLOS premiered it in LA on March 4th! Does
your local station have it? Why not call and find out!

It's just so exciting to see the guys coming back! Visit
www.inxs.com up-to-date band info, the Tour Dates (not all dates are
confirmed yet, so keep checking back) Oh, and watch out for the up-
coming release of a Greatest Hits package that includes the new
song "Tight"!

Hollywood.com reports the band has tabbed Jon Stevens to stand in
for original frontman Michael Hutchence, who committed suicide in
1997. Stevens is formerly with the Aussie band Noiseworks and has
been performing with INXS on short jaunts throughout Australia and
Europe(he's been doing it since May 2000). "No one will ever
replace Michael as the lead singer of INXS," said guitarist Andrew
Fariss. "At the same time, we all still have a passion to perform
and to continue doing what we love. In the past year we've played
some shows with Jon, who is a fantastic singer. It has felt very
comfortable, and sounded pretty damn good, so it seems a natural
progression to perform together for this U.S. tour." A lot of
Australian fans and critics have had great things to say about him
teaming up with INXS. The road trip kicks off May 30 in Anaheim,
Calif., and will include stops at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on
June 1, the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on June 4, Utah State Fair
Park in Salt Lake City on June 11, the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix
on June 13, and the City Lights Pavilion in Denver on June 15.
Check pollstar.com for dates in your area as well.
