What DAW for midi guitar   Message List

Okay, so my GI-20 didn't sell, and I really don't want to lower the price
further because I don't really need the dough, so why throw money away?

So my question is this:

1. Do some DAWs perform better than others in regards to tracking and recording
MIDI from guitars?

2. If so, which one is the best for Mac?

The reason I ask is I currently use GarageBand, and while I really like its
simplistic layout and quality, it is quite frustrating with the GI....ghost
notes, errors, etc. On the flipside, I use Notion Progression, which
specifically has a "midi guitar" setting and it is way, way more accurate to
what I'm playing.

Any thoughts? I thought accuracy had more to do with the converter than the
software, but perhaps Progression filters out the ghost notes automatically due
to the setting.

Thanks,

Jeff

On Macs, I've used Cubase LE, to record MIDI and audio; Reason, to record MIDI; and Ableton Live to record MIDI and audio. All were fine. My favorite is...
