Rolands take a minimum of two string cycles to get a MIDI note out - maybe slightly less to trigger internal sounds. Nik ... From: "James L. Harrison"...
I work mostly with a fingerstyle and I want to add a seventh string to my armoury so that I can use the three bass strings for genuine bass sounds and the top...
That's more like it. BTW, what's the frequency of the low E on a bass? 41.3Hz? Somewhere around that? If your synth can accurately detect the pitch AND play...
Peter, Too bad this list is moderated, you'll probably have read several other answers before you got to this one. <g> Oh well. Your second question is easy to...
I seriously, seriously doubt it. I wouldn't even go there. If you want tracking that's quick enough for the kind of funky synth sounds I think you're after,...
If it gets a clean signal from a regular 6-string guitar, the G50 does track and output a MIDI note in around one string cycle. I measured it several years ago...
You might consider checking into what the folks at Stick or Warr guitars are doing for their MIDI control. They're probably just ganging two 6-string...
peter, i agree with unlunf's opinion. but it does not much help just to think roland should do 7 channel guitar gear. since you intend to use the bottom...
Thanks for the detailed replies so far, this really is a great list! I'm investigating a way forward and will almost certainly need some more technical info...
It would be possible to have 2 hex pickups. One would be a GK2 or GK3 that uses the normal strings. The piezo bridge could skip the high E and extend to the...
I have a hardware issue so I can't comment on the new sound board included in the kit, but the improvements to the Axon itself are quite nice. I find my...
Hi, and thanks to everybody for your input and information! I didnt check my mail for a few days and was so pleased to read all of your posts. The G50 is on...
Thanks for posting your thoughts on it, I'm anxious to hear more, I am seriously considering the upgrade, also mostly for the editor. Thanks and drop us more...
Dan, Thanks for the info. Keep it coming... If you don't mind, how much did it cost including shipping and did you just buy it from the Terratec store (where...
Alright there Matthew I'm also concerned that Terratec haven't replied to you, I lost my power supply a while ago I contacted Terratec and received no reply,...
Between the email to TerraTec and the posting in this mailing list were one day! We do not sit in front of our computer waiting for work ;-)) Even in a small...
In defense of Terratec, they have said that their AXON support would be up and running on the tech support page soon. I can check when I get home but I...
Sorry, Philipp, when he said "had no luck with Terratec" I just assumed he actually gave you time, like I suggested ... a few days. I think a few days is fair,...
we all know that we hit the unbreakable Pitch to midi coversion wall after speakin to people who understand much more then i do how P to M converion works...
What you are describing isn't any different than the current systems. The software still has to take audio and detect a pitch that is then converted to a MIDI...

I agree with Joe, mostly. The small delay and inaccuracies present in the latest systems are definitely bearable. Eventually technology will come up with...
FWIW, I agree with Joe. I am often pleasantly surprised at just how responsive and expressive my RMC + GR-33 system is, and my technique is not world-class. ...
