Have you ever heard _anything by Miles Davis? Based on what you have
written, I would guess that the answer is either "no" or "very
little". How peculiar that you're so sure that Miles copied Al, yet
here you are asking for, rather than providing, the proof of your
statement.
I don't know much about Al Hirt, but at
http://www.spaceagepop.com/hirt.htm I found this:
[Al Hirt] was honest about his choice of style, never calling what he
played "jazz": "I'm a pop commercial musician," he once said. "and
I've got a successful format. I'm not a jazz trumpet and never was a
jazz trumpet."
Well, Miles Davis played jazz.
I suggest you listen to some records by Miles Davis before you make
any more foolish statements about him. And if you don't know where to
start, get "Kind of Blue".
