It was a great day for a show. Weather was in the mid 70's and it went from an
overcast morning to sunshine for showtime. By 2:30 the lawn was packed with fans
waiting for Ronnie to appear on stage for the 3:00 show. The Dream Team are
amazing, getting everything set up in record time since they got there so late.
The sound was awesome! But with Kerry, Marty and Tony on the job - how could it
be anything else??
Brian opened with his fun version of Rudolf the Rednosed Reindeer in a variety
of famous voices. He had the crowd in stitches before Ronnie took the stage to
many cheers and much applause. He opened the show with "Stranger in my House"
and continued through most of his regular set with a couple of Christmas songs
thrown in. He sang "O Holy Night" and I think it was "I'll Be Home For
Christmas." They also included a Christmas Doo Wop and Rhonda sang "Rockin'
Around the Christmas Tree." When he played "You Don't Know My Love" he was
joking about the intro and how you could rap a little to the beat. And darned if
he didn't. The audience enjoyed another side of Ronnie for a few minutes. He had
some fun doing a little rapping before doing the song.
It was just a terrific show all the way around and as always I was sorry to
see it end.

Hey Mary Ann,
The plant was just one of those little application things that they have. I
play around with that one and the flair (little virtual corkboard with buttons).
Otherwise I really don't get into the whole application thing because it is way
too time consuming and I don't have time. *grin*
I believe the last date I heard on the Gospel album release is March 10. Can't
wait! The Montage teaser they have up on his sites is incredible. I don't think
Betty does any writing, and I really haven't done much either since I started
the otehr job. Just not enough time unfortunately. I use a digital camera,
Olympus. I'm not sure what the zoom is on it, 10x I think. It's a few years old
now and not nearly as up to par as the newer models, but does great in the day
time. So I'm hoping for some good shots this weekend and hoping the weather
holds since it is an outdoor show. Last time he came for the Christmas show he
was joking around that he didn't think he should do the Christmas music because
it was 90 degrees outside. *laughing* I don't think it will be quite that warm
this time, but maybe in the 70's if we are lucky.
I'm also hoping to see him again in January if my luck holds out. He is coming
to Wisconsin the same week I was planning on being there on vacation. Works for
me.
Take Care,
Jo

hope it gets out to the public better than the last release - there
were people on Ebay selling his My Life Playlist and yet none of the
stores had it. I still haven't figured that one out.
Anyway - I just know you're going to have a great time when Ronnie
comes to Florida and you get to be there - I hope you can get some good
pictures and can hardly wait to see them as well as bboop's from

You do a very good job of reviewing the artists and the CD's.That takes

P.S. What kind of camera do you use? Your pictures are much better

Hi Jeremiah,
Best way I know to reach Ronnie directly is to post a message on his fan forum.
You can get there off his website, www.ronniemilsap.com. You have to sign up
for the forum, but it is free. In there is an 'ask Ronnie' section. He
receives everything posted in that section. He may or may not reply, but he
gets it.
Good Luck,

Hi Sarah,
It depends on your phone and whether it allows you to upload your own. Most
will say you can't, but a lot of them have a back door to do it if you know how.
I always make sure I can do it since I'm partial to "All is Fair." *grin* Then
you use an editing program to pick out the part of the song you want as your
tone, take it out and compress it to fit. Honestly, I can edit it fine (we use
Nero), but my husband is the one who uploads to the phones.

Mine rings "All is Fair" for the main one, "Get it Up" and I do still have

Hi Sarah! Welcome to the group. I don't get on much but this is the place to
look for news of Ronnie! These guys are on top of Ronnie News. I too have got
to meet Ronnie a couple of times. Last time in Ohio back in may at Sandusky
state theatre. I told him I loved his new music and his not so "country"
songs. I try to spread the word around that he continues to make new music, and
what a great role model he is.

Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the group! My name is Jack. I along with my dear friend Jolene
moderate this group. It's not a real high traffic list, but if there is any
Ronnie news to be heard, you'll find it here. And by the way, I too am
blind. I, along with Jolene had the wonderful opportunity to interview
Ronnie just about one year ago prior to one of his concerts here in Ohio.
He's truly a legend in country music, but is still so down to earth. As for
what kind of piano he plays, Jolene might be able to tell you that when she
has the chance to reply.
Thanks for joining the group. Any questions, comments and thoughts are
always welcome. This is your list. And again, Welcome.

lucky as to be able to communicate with Ronnie like that? What's your secret? I
am sure there are thousands of folks that would just die to have the same kind

Hi there,
I am Montana Dar smile,
I met Ronnie when he started singing.
I remember this huge truck coming into the mall.
Then I saw him at different concerts.
I would write him messages in Braille, and he would reply.
I would take a slate and styless with me so he could reply.
I would talk to him on the phone when he would come to town.
At that time, we had a fan club.
But years have gone by.
And we all are in different states now.
If you wish to write to me, feel free to do so.
I love making new friends.
Take my email from this message.
We are sitting outside doing email.
I haven't heard the gospel song you are speaking of.
Glad you enjoy it.

Ok. I'm glad we got that cleared up...lol. Now tell me, how did you get so lucky
as to be able to communicate with Ronnie like that? What's your secret? I am
sure there are thousands of folks that would just die to have the same kind of
communication with him as you have. I know I would. Actually, I am trying my
darnest to accomplish that before I do die. I know that patience is a virtue &
all, but I seriously do not know how long I will be here, so that is why I am so
persistent with it.

Hi there,
I am Montana Dar smile,
I met Ronnie when he started singing.

I haven't heard the gospel song you are speaking of.
Glad you enjoy it.
I think I can give you my email address.

Hey Vicki,
My first Ronnie concert was back in 1988 when he was on the Heart And Soul
tour promoting the album of the same name. It was a really fantastic
concert. His opening act was the late Eddie Rabbitt. Eddie Died about 10
years later in May of 1998 from lung cancer. I'm really glad I went to that
show.

Hi Jack.
Thank you for the welcome. I don't think I've ever felt so welcome in any
other group before, as I do this one. I can tell you 2 different experiences
of mine seeing Ronnie in concert, both of which are sort of comical. I first
seen him in concert near my hometown back in the early 90's. I just thought
it was too cool to have him only 6 miles from my home. When I first laid
eyes on him at this concert, I became totally unaware of my surroundings or
anyone around me. Let's just say that I was mesmerized. I sat 3 rows back
from the stage, & was in complete la-la land over him. When it came time to
go up next to the stage to take his picture, I was so nervous, that I was
taking his picture without having my camera turned on. Then, when I finally
did turn it on, my legs gave out on me because I was sahking so bad, that I
went down in front of a huge crowd of people. Talk about embarrassing, yet
funny. I felt like a total moron. My next eperience happened
just this past Sunday, when I seen him in concert in Iowa. Again, I was
mesmerized, & completely unaware of my surroundings. When they brought him
on stage, I literally started bawling, I guess because I was so excited
about seeing him. After his concert, he signed merchandise about him at a
tent. As soon as he ended the concert, I made a mad dash to get my t-shirt
of him signed. When they got him to the tent, I started freaking saying "Oh
My God" repeatedly. The people around me got a big kick out of it. When it
came my turn, I seriously wanted to give him a hug, but didn't want to look
like some lunatic fan, so was too chicken to say anything. I settled for a
little handshake instead. Besides, the cop standing at the tent, looked like
he was wanting to use his billy club on the crowd, which was a little
intimidating to say the least. I'm goofy enough, without having a billy club
whacked upside my head. Anyhow, I was in sheer heaven just getting that
handshake. I made it a point to let everyone know about that experience. At
his concert, Ronnie said that his song "What A Difference You've Made In My
Life" was written on behalf of the encouragement of his fans. If only I
could tell him that he should apply that song to himself as well, when it
comes to his influence in my life. If he only knew, but I am sure he's heard
that from alot of his fans too. I've been told that with all my
determination, going to his websites & etc., that I shouldn't be too
surprised to find some kind of correspondence from him sometime. Oh my God!
If that ever came true, I would be on cloud 20! To have a friendship with
him, would be the greatest gift that God could ever give me. I hope this
post makes a little sense.
Vicki

Hi Vicki.
My name is Jack. My days of being a Ronnie fan can be traced back to the
mid 70's. I think like a lot of fans, it was his hit "It Was Almost Like A
Song" that put him on the musical map for a lot of fans. Last year, I had
the privilege of meeting Ronnie for the first time. And while his country
music status might be legendary and larger than life, the man is as down to
earth as a next door neighbor. As Jolene told you, this list isn't all that
active, but I can promise you that if there is any Ronnie news to be heard,
you'll find it here. Hope you enjoy this list.

Howdy Folks!
I'm a newbie here. My name is Vicki, & I am a HUGE Ronnie Milsap fan.
I've loved his music ever since I was little (Will be 40 in 2
months). What got me hooked on his music was his song "What A
Difference You've Made In My Life". I first heard it when I was
little, & have been a fan of his ever since.
Anyhow, I joined his fan website & some other fan forum on Topix. I
have viewed his My Space page, but being a novice at computers like I
am, haven't figured out how to put a message on it yet, but I am
definitely hooked on that song on it called "Precious Lord Take My
Hand". Very beautifully sung. I made a suggestion on the 2 websites I
am on of his, for him to make a gospel album. Lord knows, that he's
got the voice for it.
Along with loving his music, I've also been drawn to Ronnie as a
person too, if that makes any sense. After reading his biography,
I've discovered that I have alot in common with him. First of all, we
both have a disability, but have been able to live successfully
inspite of it. We don't let our disability define us. Sometimes, when
I do find myself feeling disgusted about having a disability &
wollering in self-pity, I remind myself of Ronnie & all he's done
with his life. It's a great pick-me-up at those times. Secondly, he
his mother had an issue with him being born blind, & more or less
rejected him, leaving Ronnie to be raised by his father &
grandparents. I,too, have experienced rejection from a parent. Those
are a couple of things we have in common.
My disability has come close to costing me my life a couple of
occasions, & my biggest most heartfelt prayer is to actually have
communication with Ronnie sometime before my life is up. Everyday is
a constant battle to stay alive for me. However, I realize that I am
just one of thousands of fans who probably wish to communicate with
him too, so feel that having my prayer answered is next to never. I
hope I don't make the impression of being a crazed & obsessed fan of
his, because I am not like that. There are many artists that I like
alot, but I've been drawn to Ronnie ever since I was a little girl. I
am just drawn to him, & cannot explain why. I hope this post makes
sense, & isn't too long.
Sincerely,
Vicki

It sounds like it was a great show. Of course, any show of Ronnie's is great as
far as I am concerned. It's sad that Eddie Rabbitt died. I also enjoyed his
music as well. I wasn't drawn to him like I am to Ronnie, but did enjoy hearing
him sing. He was also quite good-looking too. When I first seen Ronnie back in
the early 90's, Eddy Raven & T. Graham Brown was there also. I enjoyed their
music as well, even though Eddy Raven embarrassed the heack out of me in front
of a line of people & 2 cops, making comments that I shall not repeat. Let's
just say that it sounded like we were having a fling when I met him, & leave it
at that.
