Two for now. I'm doing tiny bits of this project at a time for now.

My engine board says REV 1.4

1. There are two unmarked diodes to the right of the "to jm3" section
- what type are these supposed to be?

2. A more general question - is the BOM that's available on the BCM
site current and up to date, and actually for the pcb kit I bought
from them recently? I'm seeing some large discrepancies. Most of the
resistor numbers (quantities) are off by a few according to the pcb.
And I just started on the caps - the BOM says 21 .01 caps, which I
dutifully bought from mouser, but now I've only found spots for 4 of
them. And the BOM says to buy only one 0.1 cap, but there are spaces
for at least 12 of them. And a quick look at what else I have reveals
more of the same discrepancies.

I would assume that I should go with what the pcb asks for, and now
that I know the situation, it's not a problem that's hard to fix, but
I'm worried - is that the right assumption? I'm not an electrical
engineer, and have very limited skills at interpreting a schematic, so
I'd like to make sure I'm putting the right parts in the right places
the first time around.

Thanks for a pointer in the right direction about this!

Steve Drake

HI. The .01's are just bypass caps. they can be .001's, even .1 in some instances. In short - buy either the .001s or .01s. Which ever you need. Mouser has...
